Its just that the seeds sprouted. If the seeds hadn't sprouted there would be something wrong! Happens here in Tucson during the warmer months at about 5 days on the counter. I keep my tomatoes out of the refrigerator to preserve their taste...

Wade what variety are those dark colored ones second from the top on the left in the tailgate pic? Also is that Aunt Ruby's German green in the last pic? Nice looking tomatoes sir.
As to the OP that certainly does look like seed sprouted inside as others have said. I am with Wade Grow your own if you can, they are much better and you know what your putting in your body and what was used on it without question. 36 tomato plants in the front garden and a couple dozen in the back for me this year (all heirloom varieties), as well as several other veggies. We also grow blueberries, blackberries, plums, peaches, and figs. Trying to get away from the store bought stuff specifically because we don't know what it is, what was used on it, and where it came from.

    Here's how i do tomatoes:

Yes, that's a fully ripe tomato. One of the best!
Looks like you can sneak up on them pretty good if you can take em with a pistol. :<0)

I used to have some of those purple ones. Purple heart ??? or something. You could smell them across the room and wave them over some warm milk and you got tomato soup. mine were so strong you almost couldn't eat one by itself. Made the others in the garden better for sure.

Yeah Wade I am jealous. I used to grow almost ALL my food. I bartered beef ,pork, eggs with all the surrounding neighbors for what I didn't have. Damn I got to get out of the city again.

I got that, just never seen it before. I have seen it in habanero peppers but they are thin skinned. Having grown a lot I different stuff this just doesn't look right. And hey you got the same strain of tomato I got :<0)

Watched a documentary recently about the state of the food industry. Rather disturbing, and one of the most disturbing things going on is big seed companies copyrighting genetically engineered seed. These GE seeds may yeild more, or be resistant to certain diseases. The trouble is when the crop matures and in turn pollinates, the neighboring farmers crop may have been cross pollinated from the GE plants. This farmer may have been selling most of his crop and keeping a certain percentage for next year, as they have done for generations. Now he can't legally grow his own seed because it is part GE, and therefore the property of the seed company. Some farmers had fought this in a court of law and lost. The ultimate scam.

Well, that's Cherokee Purple below them...huh I may have to dig up my records that is from 2012. Looks like a "black/purple" German type.

Yes ARGG! a big fave. Thanks!

oh and those bright pretty yellows...SUCK like supermarket tomatoes (pretty, with no flavor). Pale yellow to pasty white MUCH better.

    Arkansas Traveler
is my absolute flavor fave at this point. I'm trying to narrow down my varieties, but it's so hard to pick just five or six when 100's are available.

Have you used the Snake shot loads in any of yours?
I have gotten to the point when I hit the back 40 I don't chamber a round and carry 3 mags, one with snake shot, one with FMJ, and one with defensive rounds.
Wow, that makes me sound paranoid....
