Default left handed AR guys ..

well since a loss of vision in my right eyeball a few years back I had to learn to shoot left handed .. on my AR type firearms I always have had an issue with the safety selector switch rubbing on my trigger finger .. I have yet to find a left handed only safety that actually works in a right handed gun or didn't feel awkward so I was left with ambidextrous safety .. problem is my finger still hit unless I ground down the left side .. I have found what I think is the ultimate ambidextrous safety from battle arms company !!! you now have the ability to put a longer , flat , raised , or shorter switch on either side eliminating your trigger finger hitting the switch .. it also is a solid piece of metal with star head set screws on the outside so there is no risk of a tiny screw falling inside, texture is really comfortable on the finger , and the switch is a lot more smoother then the stock part . .. to me this is definitely a finer thing in life and I have falling inlove with this set up so I figured I would pass this add on , on ..

Never been a fan of the AR setup. It stems from hating the M16, having a preference for the L1A1 SLR back in my Australian Army young bloke days. I am, or rather was, proficient with both weapons (and a few others at the time), but I was far better with the 7.62 L1A1 SLR. However, I do like the look of them and I think a full profile photograph is called for here. So how about it gooser? Got a full view of that little beastie?

I cut my teeth in the Canadian military with the FN C1A1...such a great piece of kit!

Sadly, our mind boggling firearms laws in Canada have deemed this rifle Prohibited, relegating it to Safe Queen status for those that posses the proper 12.X license.

probably not, ive grown used to keeping the gun on my shoulder , and being right handed I can drop the mag with my thumb and insert with the right hand .. and it works out good cause I can keep the mags on my right side while leaving room for pistol mags on the left side ..lol.. sounds awkward but I got a system ..lol..

one of my favorite rifles I had was a HK93 7.62 , that had a mid length barrel , was a tack driver , and the .308 is one heck of a round .. loud as heck but I love a .308 round !!

Finger-schminger. My advice is, keep your top shirt button tightly buttoned and wear a bandana around your neck. And if you're real OCD leave your shirt untucked. One spent casing down the shirt and lodged snug between belt and belly will never be forgotten.

It's the same here in Australia mate. All I can think is that the government must have been planning something to be scared of to use a rare event created by one insane bloke as an excuse to criminalise the majority of law abiding gun owners and force them to get rid of legally bought firearms.

Done that a several occasions. First time I did that when I was a kid the lesson didn't take too well, so I did it a few more times before I figured out I was doing something wrong. The icing on the cake was when I was a bit older and teaching my then girlfriend how to use my Mini 14. I was silly enough to not step far enough back when she started to shoot and wore a hot .223 shell down my shirt front.

knock on wood , but I think with the advance in shell deflectors since the introduction of the m16//ar platform all of my shells come out and kick diagonal forward .. when I was shooting right handed I was shooting a buddys LH without the deflector in the winter and did catch one in the collar of my turtle neck, but that has been the only time .. I do occasionally catch a shell from an automatic pistol !!

If you go 308, go old school.
