I have a Bushmaster that I have used for about 12 years now. Outside of "normal" maintenance I have not had any real problems to speak of. Like any mechanical item, it will "break" when you need it most. I had a recoil spring detent pin fall out while I was at the range. I had another spring break apart into several pieces on another range day. You will have these kinds of issues with any manufacture though. Overall I have been please with Bushmaster, after approximately 10,000 rounds.
