Kanger isn't really bad at all, I used that in the beginning of my vaping experience. Still have the Mod too.

The blue tank is the Big Baby Beast with the RBA laying on the paper towel. I bought that to fit on the white Mini and to test out temp control feature. Can hardly wait to try that out but want to learn a little more before I make a mistake with it. The 2 Claptons came mounted but I noticed 1 leaning against the post. Pulled it away with a small screw driver. I got some free cotton and coils with the Cake juice so I may just use that to learn with. Wondering about new coils. I know the vape shop has them but different sizes, matching my mod, hmmmm . Saw some coil tool kit porn on a vape site and drooling over those but.....ahh I just hope they don't make small rollaways for them.
I probably have 3 Ducks worth of vape stuff already and after the mail comes tomorrow I will have to clear the workbench off for everything to fit. I spent an 8/8s W&Bs worth of mixology which is going to save me lots of money :rofl2:

Notice the screen hack ? 10P :<0) Easy hack if your mod has up-gradable firmware and a screen logo. With Photoshop you can hack a lot more.
Just finished a tank of Cappuccino Diablo from Highbrow Vapors. I ordered it extra creamy and added sweet. Probably should have got 1 straight too. They love to customize for you. Just send a note with each item in the cart. They sent a 10mil sample of some cheese cake tort ? I am going to need a red tank. Guess you lucky UK guys can get them in green too.
I saw a you tube review of this and the guy used a Beast on it and WoW. 80 watt mini mod kit for 44 bucks. I can say it really puts out the clouds. Girly puffs like a bird so the on board battery should last her a week with the Reux mini tank that came with it. It also enables her to use temp control which is a nice feature for her. Plus the added bonus is the battery is going to work with the USB charger. She can plug it into her PC or an iPhone charger. 1A max.
Pups - what's the screen hack, I know it has the upgradeable firmware, logo on, logo off, and was looking into the Pre-Heat function, there's a few warning on it?
What hack did you do?
And have you scoped out the pre-heat function? Supposed to warm the juice and give it more flavour?

The preheat is 1 of those functions that doesn't do much for me. The warning is that when using preheat you can go over your max coil watts and burn it out. Lets say your running at 120 watts and your coil is rated for 125. The preheat may go up to 140 and poof your smoking again. Only cotton this time.

The preheat might come in handy for something like a clapton coil. They take longer to heat but I will try to use them without preheat and see if that issue really tests my patience. There maybe more I don't know but will fill you in if you don't educate me first !

Honestly Martin if you can run your box at 55 to 65 watts your getting about the same flavor and feel I do. Coil Ohms and watts can get complicated trying to figure out. When I ask guys in the shop what they use it all varies in the box but most run around 50 or so. The juices come in mixes of all kinds with VG and PG % running all over the place. So it goes like this. VG (vegtable Glycerin ) make vapor which to me means cool also. PG ( propylene glycol ) is a thin vapor and fluid that carries the flavor better. It's also known to give the "throat hit" which you will have to spend some time learning exactly what that means to you. Everybody worries about what goes into their lungs but these are food additives and in everything. My point is , if they are that bad then shouldn't chefs be wearing respirators while they cook ?
Phrank made note of the fact that 2 boxes gives you the advantage of switching flavors quickly. I took his advice and added extra tanks which don't leak as long as your wise about it and simply screw off and on. AND I got 3 mods :<0)
I haven't researched yours so you will have to see how it goes. You may do well at lower watts because of the set up.
Now mine holds 3 batteries and will last me 2 days between charges. 2 batteries all day and some morning time using 55 to 65 watts. If I don't get a new flavor I want to drink as much as I like vaping it. And don't , don't even let it get in your eyes. Nicotine is worse than arsenic as far as a poison goes and it will burn your eyes and adsorbs through the skin. You can overdose on it with high concentrations in your mix if you puff enough. The nicotine doesn't hit you right away like a cigarette. Ask me how I know :<0) You don't want your kids or pets getting in it or you may be picking up barf.

I have been learning a lot about mixing my own juice. In my learning I ran across this controversy about the 5 Pawns Site you sent me Phrank? Thought it was you. Anyway if it was, those guys are getting a lot of crap from the vaping community. Evidently one of the shops that sells a lot of juice company fluids asked them for their ingredients before they would sell anymore of it. After many refusals by 5 Pawns they sent it out for testing themselves. The results show they use massive amounts of Diketones. Like off the chart amounts.

No one is afraid of getting popcorn lung but the chemicals do damage lung tissue when inhaled. As I understand it they seal up pores in your lungs that let the oxygen into your system. I have personally shelved 2 flavor concentrates because I have learned of other ways to get flavors without those chemicals. Most e-juice companies have stopped using them.
Just thought I would pass the info along so you could look into it and decide for yourselves about the risks. Some worry about it some don't. My opinion is that while it does enhance the flavor and feel of the vape why risk it. I don't want to give up 1 nasty for another :<0)
Thanks 10pups, but from all I've read and understand, it was the powder that the workers were inhaling which caused popcorn lung.
And I do agree, if there's another way to get the flavor and good vape, why use the DA
Just have to chime in on this thread. Ive been vaping for about 4 years now. Here is my set-up that i take with me to work. Keeps me going all day. I vape at 110w and go thru 1.5 sets of 3 batteries a day. And about 20 to 25mil of juice. I enjoy the fruity juices myself. I was a pipe smoker who inhaled pipe smoke. It was a bit of a hard change to the vape but i did it.

XVOStick with my Kayfun V4. I quit the nasties in November 2012. I make my own 12mg strawberry liquid. I have 5 kayfuns loaded with juice and ready to go when the taste starts getting too burnt. 6 wraps of 28 gauge Kanthal gives me a little over an ohm. Can chainvape all day on 1 LG brown wrapper HE2 20 amp 3200 mAh 18650 battery. I've been on this setup for two years. I run at 5 to 7 watts.

My Smok TFV8 came with a buildable deck. I use it most the time unless I just get lazy like right now. I got the quad coils in it right now (0.16 ohms) and it likes to be ran between 120 - 180 watts. 120 is high enough for me! I normally run Home Made Clapton Coils. Six wraps on two coils gets me .23 ohms. Then run it 110 to 120 watts and shes a chucking the vape! 3 Batteries don't last but about 7 to 8 hours. I keep thinking about picking up the pipe now and then but I know it will taste horrible! And that's using friendly words, if you know what I mean. :nono:
Ive been doing this for a few years now and I find it funny that the vaping industry is going for higher and higher wattage devices. That said they are also pushing the temperature control thing which pretty much negates the reason to have a high wattage device. Its like here buy this 500 cubic inch engine but we installed a governor on it that wont let you go past 55mph. With that the e-liquids at higher nicotine strengths are becoming either less popular or harder to find. Why well because the device chuck out alot more vapor and maybe 20mg would make you pass out using a quad clapton coil vaping at a 100 watts lol. Its crazy to me but makes perfect business sense. I am buying e liquid to satisfy a nicotine craving, thats me. If I buy a 2 mg bottle i need to power vape that stuff to get through the day and then I got to get a new one. Probable the most expensive part of e liquid is the bloody nicotine, and they like using less for basically the same price. In the mad world of vaping I rather not have to consume giant clouds of vapor that contain little nicotine to be satisfied. I personally like to vape in the 15-20 watt range with a single coil and e-liquid of about 12mg. And its discreet I can take a few pulls in the bathroom at work and no one is the wiser. I guess i like low volume high efficiency. Ok my rant is over enjoy your vapes lol.
Same here, I was excited to try out these new high wattage devices until I found out I would have to be changing batteries all day. Nope, I'm not a cloud chaser, just a guy who needs to adjust his personal nicotine level occasionally throughout the day. At first you vape anywhere and now ecigs are thought of as a plague. It's getting harder and harder to even stealth vape anywhere now. People think it's more deadly than cigarettes.
I vape at 70w with a 6mg nicotine liquid. I use a drip tank with a single Clapton coil.
I go through about 180 ml a month. but I understand what you are saying

When folks that don't know anything about vaping, see a 16 year old billowing clouds on the street corner at a volume that would get a fire marshals attention. What should they think? I still stealth vape everywhere, because I know there are NO second hand whatever issues.
The only caveat is that when I used to smoke good old Cowboy cigarettes in the red and white pack i got to the point where climbing a few flights of stairs might land me in the emergency room. I can jog 30 minutes even after vaping no problem. That alone is worth it to me. If I die of some other insidious unknown vaping reason, well I would consider it an improvement.Quote:

I normally don't make vapor you can see, but for you I'm going to get out my 250 watt mod with a .01 ohm quad coil with a mega dripper on it and fill the entire courtyard out front with dense vapor on your behalf. And in about a year when the cloud reaches your part of the world, your going to smell a strong scent of fresh strawberries when there are none around.....:rofl2:

Yep, thats how it is when you get into a developing technology. When I started it was cartomizers and mods wouldn't fire anything under like 1.3 ohms unless you went mechanical. personally the only things I find relevant still are Kayfun/Russian style and drippers can be used forever if you like em. I am using a Squape right now and I still like it. For me its how fast I can make a full cotton change and dry burn. Griffon is a good tank but a nightmare to load. I never liked the ones with replaceable factory coils. i just got too many duds and they get funky quick especially using all VG juice. Lol maybe I should go back to talking about shaving.
No, I hear you and agree. My quest right now is to find an RTA that will not leak. I have 4 kayfun 5's that leak and 4 kayfun 4's that leak. Plus I've tried a bunch of other's that leaked even worse. I'm a chain vaper so I guess it is the constant heat that causes the problem. Oh carto's, I loved those but it got to a point they were getting so expensive and hard to find.
The all leak because they have to circulate air through the coil and wick fluid at the same time. That works in a perfect environment but if the barometric pressure changes or other fluctuations in outside temperature happen, it will probably leak from the air flow ports. Its a pain but that the technology. Hasn't really changed that much. If you vape, you got a roll of paper towels in your car I bet lol.

I got rid of all my old stuff too as it was taking up an entire drawer of space. As far as the sticky, thats because people dont clean. There is 3 vape users in my house and its not sticky here. Glass cleaner, furniture polish, vacuumes. It takes care of the issue. Only people who dont clean regularly have this issue.
Now in my truck and when the temps are cold outside, I get a coating on my windows. I have to wash them every other day on the inside to keep it at bay. I regularly clean the inside of my cab so no problem there.
I'm still wondering about how this vape thing is harmful. Its got to be somehow. Besides the nic put into our bodies as we know thats not good. I've read where people have tested it and say its as bad as smoking and ive read some that say just the opisite. Guess if I live for the next 20 years I'll find out the truth.
Had chest X-Rays done 2 months ago and my doctor laughed refused to believe that I ever touched a cigarette. I smoked a pack of cammy non's every day for 25 years...:whipped:
