Great story...I've caught my share of rainbows and dropped some upland birds. I've always considered wild food sacred food. Thanks for posting the pic, a beauty.

And they taste best when caught through the ICE
around here the water becomes very clear once the ice covers the lakes, which cleans that odd but not unpleasant tast from the fish.
The meat becomes a little sweeter YMMVMike
