Thanked: 3224Some fine firearms there. I always thought I wanted to see someone shooting a 4 bore double rifle. Closest I ever got was this.
Does not look like a lot of fun to me.

Thanked: 3224There is a reason they had gun bearers in the old days. Hard enough to shoot one of those never mind toting one around till you had a chance to use it.

I 'always' wanted a double rifle after I began reading African Rifles and Cartridges back in the mid '70s, and I have re-read it many times since. Nice being on safari in my lazy boy with my footrest cranked up. I could have never afforded a 4.05 Jeffrey, or Holland & Holland, and would have had nothing to do with it if I had bought one but ........... a nice fantasy.
