Thanked: 13245well sorta hehehehe
The old Ford 8N's are one of the most sought after "Homesteading" tractors on all the sites and pages, they were/are serious workhorse tractors and the "Diesel" engine will run on just about anything you pour into the tank
My closest neighbor has one, in fact I helped him work on it, and really learned a ton about tractors in doing so. they weigh in on the heavy side for a 30hp tractor so they get awesome traction...
ps: this is a great site to bookmark, has info on just all tractors and yard machines, I tagged it to the 8n but just use the search feature

Ya , it's pretty and the backhoe isn't in stock but coming, now I have to build a lean too on the backside of my barn to house all the extra stuff, a dump wagon and spreader, wife said I could move a bike out instead, but she was quickly sent to the house, after that comment, I spent 40 years never hardly spending that oilfield cash, now I,m going thru it like Ka Ka thru a goose ,, well you can't take it with you, but I did justify it, told her 6 years of paying our landscapers and lawn guys paid fr it, now I just have to stay alive long enough to prove it too her!
So I,ll say it again ,, "I hate you Glen". And don't tell the IRS. But this is a farm tractor implement deduction!! Tc.Last edited by tcrideshd; 03-06-2016 at 02:50 AM.

Garden is going to be easier this year for sure, especially the expansion, I,m looking forward to the yard too, I have a very nice yard, paid people to take care of it. But. Now after 5 years the front yard has some low spots and ruts from ground settling, so in a couple of months I'll put that bucket to use, I have to do what is called a top dressing with sand to level off some of the low spots. Plus 5 more trees to plant ( backhoe) .
It ll be fun, now I almost wish we had snow around here so I could clear that!(almost)
Just so you know Kubota was every bit as good, but that Deere dealer was just down the road. And then Kubota guy was a long way away. And this is the time of year that they have a great deal of discounts and freebies. Plus the beer holder sold it for me, right where wanted it!
