Thread: 2016 Fly Fishing and Fly Tying

I troll with a 4 weight fly rod with full sink Reo line in the spring,then when the water gets warmer...a 7 weight with lead core.....with flys..just Trout and Salmon for me.

What's the outboard on that canoe? I love that boat! We have excellent trout fishing in Arkansas, but the only salmon I've seen are at Kroger in butcher case..haha I'd love to fish them, but they're a LONG way off. I'm more likely to chase the standard warmwater fare. Seriously, though... We have EXCELLENT trout fishing. Here's one a buddy of mine who works for me caught at the Little Red River in Arkansas last October. Wild brown trout for the win!

It's 21 feet long.. 54 " beam...can hold over 2,000 lbs...you can stand up and fly fish...and it's got a 15 hp Yahama 4 stroke on the back.

I was fishing in the White Mountains of NH ,last Sunday..and the water temp at the surface was 59. What are your lakes at for temp in Arkansas ?
