Although not in the guilty pleasure class, I will ocassionally watch Poirot on Netflix. I enjoy the period clothing and sets, especially when he is traveling. In one episode Poirot buys cologne at Trumpers. I haven't seen him shave though.

Border Security. I think it originated in Canada with "Canada's Front Line". Now there 3 versions including "America's Front Line" and "Australia's Front Line". 2 thing you learn from watching this show. First how good the men and women are of the customs and immigration departments from all of these countries. Second how many dumb assed people there are who just don't even imagine they're going to get caught.
We all know about dogs trained to sniff out explosives, drugs, food and all other kinds of prohibited stuff but the most amazing thing they can detect is large sums of money. I had no idea that they could sniff out money. One of the handlers interviews said it has nothing to do with the potential of drug residue.Keep your concentration high and your angles low!
Despite the high cost of living, it's still very popular.

"The Woodwright's Shop" on PBS.
Woodworking with early American hand tools. Much like shaving with an SR, I find woodworking the older, better way relaxing as well. Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead - Charles Bukowski

Gee I'm envious of you guys. I've got this 50 year old 21 inch black and white Dumont T.V powered by vacuum tubes and since we only get one TV station in these parts it don't matter anyway.
We just stare into the reflection in the picture tube and make funny faces at each other. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

I've been pretty entertained with the superhero TV shows, but some of the writing is lacking in later season. House of Cards is my favorite show. Bill Clinton told Kevin Spacey, "Your show is 98% accurate, but you could never pass an education bill that fast through the 'house.'"
Two guilty pleasures are "Archer" and "Rick & Morty", quite adult themed cartoons. Think along the lines of family guy, but archer is a comedic 007 and R&M is a comedic frankenstein esque. They're available through hulu and netflix.Last edited by dinnermint; 06-11-2016 at 10:31 PM.

I enjoy Gillmore girls and found sex in the city goes well with my nightly IPA or maybe 90210. If it's an extremely good craft brew that I just discovered...it's the Kardashians all the way!!!
Keep it safe and Cheers,

Thanked: 38You guys are really lucky. My wife and 2 daughters hog the TV... and the laptop and the iPad. I'm forced to sit and watch the Batchelor/Batchelorette and its ilk, or all those damn Housewives of [whatever] shows. I just get up and go to bed. If I'm lucky, none of that is on and [treat-treat] I get to watch one of those stupid house hunting shows.
I won't allow a DVR in the house else it'll be Housewives* all the time.Last edited by cau; 06-15-2016 at 11:31 PM.
