Cool TV - "Guilty Pleasures" shows

    So what are yours ??

What are some of the Mind Numbingly dumb shows you watch but secretly enjoy

It is that time of year when most anything even remotely good is in hiatus so I am clearing out the DVR of the Guilty Pleasures and binge watching a few series...

Just finished season 2 of "The Flash" I guess I like it because I loved the Comic Books as a kid

Watching Season 4 of the Arrow right now

Still have Season 5 of Scandal Saved

Tucked away for later is Season 3 of Marvel's Agents of Shield, Season 2 of Sticher's and Season 3 of The 100

Season 2 of Gothem is on there too

Hmmmmmm I might have a problem with the Super Hero shows

But I also have to watch Mountain Men and Life Below Zero..

What about you guys ??? some of these shows are perfect Honing Media hehehehe

And no Spoilers, remember many of us DVR or Stream this stuff so we haven't seen it yet

I have been watching Turn, a show about spies in the Revolutionary War. It's a quality production with good acting, but it has soap opera moments. I've also been watching a travel/archaeolgy show called Expedition Unknown.

I like those car crash/police chase shows where idiots do stupid things on the highway and get caught doing them. The New Zealand ones are good and I watched a British car crash show the other night that was jaw dropping.

    Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D
    The 100
    The magicians

There are also some well made original shows on Netflix: Orange is the new black, Hose of Cards, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, The Ranch

The Walking dead and Fear the walking dead - those are made extremely well and I do not consider them dumb.

    "Life Below Zero".

While their endless comments on survival are tedious their approach to securing food is usually entertaining.

Narcos and Making a Murderer are also well worth a watch if you have Netflix.

It is different than the original for sure. They are developing the characters in more depth or it so appears to me at least.
If you have Netflix, watch "The Ranch" it is an R rated sitcom with all the colorful language etc. I found it really funny.

Better Call Saul, a New Mexico attorney, on the shady side, is brother is a partner of a large prestige’s law firm. Saul sets up a slip and fall accident and get involved with a major drug dealer. He just keeps stepping in big and bigger piles.

The first episode is a bit slow, but you will be hook by the end. I think there are 3 seasons, made by the guys that did Breaking Bad, with a bit of the same flavor, one funny, cliff hanger after another…

Being that I'm not allowed the "clicker" most of the time, I'm forced to watch, "Coronation Street" to the point where I want to shave every episode....I think my neighbour is in fact, "Ken" from the series, as he has his English "upper-class twit of the year" accent and mannerisms down perfectly.

I also am forced to watch various TV shows that seem to inform me that most Detectives, police officers, forensic examiners, judges, lawyers and special forces FBI investigators are women, and that small Asian women in heels who maybe weigh 110lbs can beat the shite out of ex-SEAL team hired 6', 200lb assassins.

One show I managed to like was a British show called, "The Detectors", which is about a group who enjoy metal detecting, and it is extremely well written, very funny, and well worth watching.

Another show, "Scott and Bailey" takes us to England again, where the entire cold case department, and all major roles in this show set in Manchester, are held by women, and the men are portrayed as boobs and coffee boys. - EDIT - Make that "Tea Boys", it's England!!

"The Blacklist" has to be about my favorite show to watch, and one the wife likes, so it's a bonus whenever that's on. And the son likes, "The Walking Dead" and "Grimm", so we actually get to watch a few shows that aren't so blatantly and painfully so gynocentric....hahaha...my small rant of o' the morning.
