Kevin, believe he's an owner, gave me a fine classic executive with a dash of military reg...had the pomade ready to go for final sculping and I walked out of there with the best hair cut in years, and feeling like I did when I was a kid and we would spend 3-4 hrs hanging at the local shop.
Still flying high off the exerpience.
Is that the shop in Southern California that has a huge selection of Morris & Forndran brushes that he will only sell if you come to the store. Won't sell them online, if it's the place I'm thinking of, next time you're there, check out some of those spectacular brushes....I know the place I'm thinking of is in SoCal....

    Hey Phrank,
Don't think so. Didn't see any brushes for sale.
This place has been in it's current location about a year. Forgot where the old location was located. I kind of messed up when I said San Diego County. I live right on the boarder of SD and Riverside county. Temecula is actually in Riverside.

If you remember the shop let me know. I'd love to go check out the MF brushes.
Marty may know the place you're talking about. He's about 45 mins from me, and has spent some time in Temecula hitting the antique shops (a man of many talents and professions that Marty is). Maybe some of the other SoCal mbrs will chime in.

    Thanks Phrank.
I've lurked on their site. Plan to stop by their when I'm up that way, but I hate going to LA so it may not happen for a while.
Think they're the ones that threw a little weekend shaving expo not too long ago.

Here is Carl's Barbershop in Weston, Florida. I did a little thread on it a couple of years ago. It's as old school as we have down here.

I have tried Carl's Barbershop in Weston, Florida a few years ago and it was okay. Maybe it's time to try it again.

Looks mighty old school to me. Pretty cool to see the old time stuff. Reminds me of being a kid and going to the real barber shops

Default Glendale Barber Shop (Glendale, AZ)

    Glendale Barber Shop (Glendale, AZ)

I search the internet for “the oldest barber shop in Phoenix” and found the Glendale Barber Shop, per the website it is the oldest ongoing Barber Shop in Glendale, Arizona, established in the 1920's and the Owner/Barber (Dan) has over 40 years experience in the industry.

The atmosphere of the Barber shop is a mix between modern and semi old-school. On my way over to the place I was going to call for an appointment, luckily I was told, by Dan that there is no need for appointments.

About the Shave, the shave included a pre-shave treatment, with hot towel, warm lather followed by the actual shave, I never actually got to see the razor, but as I understand it is a shavette type razor and after the actual shave, a treatment with hot towel again followed by a cold towel and shaving lotion. The shave was close but not a BBS shave.

Overall experience was great and I like the fact that Dan was a nice guy and did not mind chitchatting during the shave. Would I come back to this place again, ABSOLUTELY!!!
