Hey Glen
I feel your pain!
Will this tricking winter ever end?

Looks like some of you are going to be eating good this summer. If any of you are raising corn, I would recommend Cloud 9. My Dad tried raising several types of corn and two that stood out the most to me were the Cloud 9 and Silver Queen. I think after Cloud 9 he stopped growing anything else.
I wish he was still able to garden, but he is in serious need of a hip replacement and insists on continuing to mow lawns for people in the summer (even though it is painful). I'm out of state and can't help him with either. Any prayers he is able to improve his heart condition and get a successful hip replacement would be appreciated. I would love for him to go back to doing some of the things he enjoyed.
My Dad sold some tomatoes to a local store several years ago. Said he got a call saying something was wrong with the tomatoes. They had been there for days and they still weren't turning red! He explained they were yellow tomatoes and that was normal :rofl2:
Something I didn't realize growing up until my Dad mentioned it was a problem with giving people garden vegetables. He said people would take any vegetables you would give them, but whenever he told someone they could come by and pick some for themselves they would NEVER take him up on the offer!
Hy Guy`s,
here my selfmade tomato plant for this Summer, unfortunately still indoor because it is too cold in Germany

Hard frost today and the ground is still frozen. Winter just wont let go in Upstate New York.
Die winter die! I agree Glen. We had snow just a couple days ago but im hoping it was the last one. April showers in CO means Snow Showers.
The grass is just now starting to get the slightest bit of green coming up on the edges. Should be ready to mow in about a month if all goes well. No garden on my lot. Im the only one that eats vegies other than potatoes and corn. And it would be a waist to grow a plant of some kind just to pull off 3 items for myself and trash the rest.
Weather still flip flopping a bit, but took the opportunity to pull out the Troy- Built and open ground.
