I just have a little strip in the front yard. Generally just tomatoes and snap peas cause they take little care and are mainly pest resistant. Added zucchini this year (and probably not next year.) If you don't monitor the Zucchini daily you get surprised by a gigantic squash that is taking over half the gardening space. Have had several ripe heiloom tomatos so far. Nice and meaty.
The squash and cukes are more than plentiful! The neighbors drop the blinds and lock the door when they see me coming. Tomatoes are very slow this year. A few salad tomatoes but no big ones.
The glads are beautiful.

The jalapenos are going strong. The habaneros and ghost are slow coming on and still just blooming.

I have one Wala Walla with a seed head. These are fantastic onions.

If you are starting to get overrun with zuchinni I found a recipe in the paper last week for Zuchinni blossoms stuffed with goat cheese.Quote:

Everyone that I know that has planted it wonders what to do with it all.
The only thing I have found that kills it is shade.
I wish that everyone in the world had the problem of to much food!

Thanks, Roy. I have a food processor to do the hard work. I'm not a zucchini bread or cakes type anymore. Raw, grilled, or shredded and pickled for one meal is more my style and likes these days.
Zucchini is very tasty if it's picked when it's about 4-5" long.
Cut um thin, fry them in a cast iron skillet with a bit of grape seed oil, a dash of seasoning salt, and their better than potato chips.
Wife shreds the abundance, for bread n such.
