Guessed correctly both Roy and Jerry.
Except for where the wings thread into the frame, all new hardware is being used, and except for the suspension tear down, no power tools have been used either. All hand work and Johnson bars.
Not opposed to them normally, just this car seemed more delicate and deserving of the velvet hammer approach.

Just got back from a road trip to acquire the POR 15 products I’ll be using on the car.
Google the stuff if not familiar. Pretty much the best on the market I’m aware of now for Rust and overall everything protection for car metal.
Got their base treat, as well as their high build primer and 2k urethane clear coat. Quart of each should be more than enough for this little car, and the front porch spring chairs. Which are being painted first to test my colour choices and pearl effects..

Rust Trap...made by a company called SEM is much better and user friendly. Rust trap will stick to new bare metal without the extra steps of a metal wash and rinse and dry . I have used both .

Tarp wasn’t quite as big as advertised so I adjusted, added a sheet of plywood at the fixed end.

Happens to be prevailing wind direction too, so the extra strength against wind force should help.

This is my access side with a 2x4 as my drop beam ballast to keep everything taut.
Fortified the corners such that I didn’t need to much side support that would later interfere with the engine reinstall. Plus I can jack up the outer wall slightly when washing things down still to let out the water. And by folding the tarp under That front wall as I have I’m protecting the bottom edge of the wood from the elements..

Will reassess in the spring for integrity before I paint. Also When I need to install the exhaust fan,

Looks good Mike! Good thing you don't live in one of those gated communitys! (I'm sure the neighborhood codes wouldn't allow for such temporary structure

Doesn’t meet the wife’s code already, hehe.
But my neighbors on either side have said they like what I’m doing and get why. They’ve seen the deconstruction of the car and know what I’m doing inside is temporary..
Hoping nobody rats me out to the city cause I’m probably breaking bylaws. Been here a while and technically it isn’t moored into the ground so if the permit people come I will argue..
    Hehe.

I foresee a portable forced air propane or kerosene heater in your near future.

Already have the Remington 80000 btu kerosene f.a. heater ready to go. Acquired that second hand last winter so if I did start to tear the car down I’d be ready..
Spent a load of time planning this out even as I enjoyed driving her around these last few seasons, so hope I’ve accounted for every step of the rebuild as she ain’t moving from where she is till she’s done..

Perhaps it might be a wise thing to start stockpiling the kerosene---

I'm kicking myself in the ass for not planning ahead and stocking up on canning jars as right now I can't find a single case of pint or quart jars in either wide or small mouth in town.

I'll be calling the kids to return the empties from what I've given them and hopefully I'll have enough to finish up this years canning.

I have lots of jars but am short on lids.

I gave a friend some honey today but told him that if he wanted it he should bring a jar or two.

Although I have given him 5 gallons before I am not ready at this time and what I have is in 5 gal buckets.
