Now that my side project is in the rear view I can turn back to the car.
Had to shave the oak to give the front quarters their required custom fit.

Also dollied over their leading edges as part of the final fitment.
Took thendollies to the dash panel, and cleaned it all up, dent wise, and realigned the dash to the quarters with their necessary hardware that will later accommodate the windshield hardware.

That picky surface between the bolts is from being under the chromed windshield hardware for 70 years.
I’ve got a new seal for it and will be rustproofing the entire skin set before final assembly.

Biggest project I’ve ever tackled solo for a “hobby”by far..

As long as I have admired your projects, I realize you can master something pretty quick and move on to the next thing and master that. The myriad tribulations are present here. I sincerely hope your memory is much better than mine. I can't wait to see the wiring job!

The electrical will be a challenge all of its own and will be built from scratch, and negative ground.
Picked up a prewired 6 or 8 fuse basic harness and kept everything from the old set up still if I need connectors of a unique nature.
Once the main body is done, I’ll turn to th firewall repair. Part of that will be a new battery tray as it originally sat lower on the firewall and there was a toolbox built in at the top where the battery sat as purchased.
Since I moved the engine, I may be able to rebuild the storage and set up as was originally designed, or something closer anyway..
That’ll be a challenge all of its own as well, but last intricate metal work really.
Like to think it’ll be done soon, but that’s all relative.
