While it was juvenile humor, I figure in these days and times any time to laugh is a good time.

Okay, I know it's not in the garden but I saw other bird nest stuff so what the heck. I had this ladder leaned up on the back porch and wrens decided to build a nest on top.

Every time a wind blew it would get blown off. They are nothing if not diligent. They would build it up all day and it would blow off over and over. I decided to put a box on top for them. I figured either it will spook them and they will go somewhere else where maybe it will work for them or they will use it. Less than a day later they had started to build their nest in it.

First grass cutting today, only the areas not flooded from last night storm. Lots of electric lines down. My generator is still running so not back on yet, so got the lettuce in and the okra, onions and carrots

We who have Bermuda have to scalp it low and bag first cut so it will be a little at a time as it drys out, but all my lawn cutting stuff started right up after being put away after the first retirement got put on hold, 3 years, John Deere started second turn. Honda push mower one pull , still weed eater, 3 pulls, and finally the edger 6 pulls. Not bad for stuff sitting in the bar for that long, now need some more garden soil
