Favorite Pipe Place?
So... where does everyone go after a good shave to get their tobacco need fulfilled?

I have a wonderful local tobacco shop in town. They mix a large variety of house blends, and do custom orders as well. Garcia's is the name of the place, I don't think it's a chain, but I have been surprised a few times before. Great staff with an uncanny knack for descriptions that actually capture both flavor and scent in one go, they will happily find the perfect match for anyone.

Thanked: 4Stafford and Jones in Richardson TX. Great cigars and Pipes. good selection of new and estate pipes and great tobacco. Nice lounge to sit in and personal attention from the owners. Also guaranteed double your money back if the hamburger isn't the best you ever bought in a tobacco store.

Thanked: 0Locally, the Humidor in RI. They have 4 locations throughout the state. Family run and been around for years. I just stopped in one of their locations I had not been in before today. Very nice place, caters to cigar smokers more, but a healthy dose of pipes and tobacco as well. I'll surely be stopping in here again to enjoy the lounge.
On the internet, pipesandcigars.com. Great prices, huge selection.
BTW-I have no affiliation with either of the above, etc, etc.

My favorite tobacconist in San Antonio is the Humidor. I especially like their pipe blends of Cherries Jubilee and Chuck's Wagon. I'm also the honemiester for their downtown shop where they offer str8s and all.

The Owl Shop in Worcester or cupojoes.com
on the internet. For all things pipes I go
to pipes.org.

My favorite is Chicago's preeminent old-school tobacconists, Iwan Ries (http://www.iwanries.com/); one of the many things I miss about working downtown.
In the burbs where I'm working now, the next best I've found is Cigar King in Skokie (http://www.cigarking.com/).
Thanks, edenri, for pointing us to pipesandcigars.com! You're right about the selection. They even have all my favorite Rattray's blends that Cigar King tells me they can't get. You can also order from IRC by mail or on the Web; I think the selection is comparable, but pipesandcigars.com seems to have better prices, at least for the Rattrays.

You guys are killing me.
I had to give all that up - quad bypass.
Ahhh there was nothing like ghosting along under sail with my trusty briar.

Thanked: 4Iwan Ries is a classic. I visited there when in town for a convention. I highly recommend a stop there if you are even close to it.
