Partial masher here. When time permits I would like to go all grain. Mostly brew sweet stouts and super hoppies. Although my most favorite of all time was a lemon grass ale. It was the perfect summertime beer.

Another homebrewer here! D2T on homebrewtalk as well.

I brew all grain, although I haven't done a batch since last fall... something to do with freezing cold weather and a new obsession with straights

I've got a somewhat elaborate setup with a propane burner, 50qt pot, wort chiller, my own grain mill, etc. I also converted a chest freezer into a four-tap kegerator. You can see most of my equipment in my gallery at HBT.

The last thing I brewed was some of EdWort's apfelwein. I've got the ingredients ready for an IPA and a Guinness clone.

I've done EdWort's Apfelwein, came out good. Try making a grog out of it. When it's cold out, put it on the stove and heat it up like cider. Put some mulling spices in it and a few spoons of honey, and you have yourself some nice hot *alcoholic* cider

Tonight is actually the first night I've tried any of the apfelwein. I've been aging it for the past 6 months.

All I can say is.... I shouldn't have waited 6 months I'ts great!

Former home brewer here. I seldom make beer anymore as I have developed "Gout", which isn't helped by beer :-(
I still do about one batch a year though.

I am trying my hand at brewing a cider, as I have yet to find a beer that I enjoy. 5 gallons in my basement right now.

    Wish me luck!

I just brewed my first batch a few weeks ago. It was a stout from a local brew shop. I am also on homebrewtalk.com, as newbrewr4fun. My first batch was an extract with specialty grains. I think my next batch I will go partial mash.

Do not believe the foul & pernicious lie perpetuated by the medical & allied professions that any medical condition prevents you drinking our nectar. Look at this way, if you brew your own, you know exactly what is in your flagon. You willalso have a much better idea of what carbohydrate is in the beer & be able to adjust your treatment accordingly.

Who am I to criticise the leeches? Just a mead-brewing insulin dependent diabetic qualified nurse
