No cigar today. Had some Panko crusted soft shell crabs for dinner. Those were pretty fine. Later I may have a wee dram (or two).

I had a Lagavulin 16 with dinner. We were out with friends and all the females at the table (including 3 nine year old girls) expressed their disdain for the "medicinal" smell coming from my glass. I explained that they were smelling the essence of the sea in the form of a slight iodine aroma. No sale. I loved it.

Thanked: 213I tell you this Scotch thing has me spoiled went to a Crown Cask 16 tonight good but nothing like some of those single malts. Also enjoying a VSG Wizard
PS Lagavulin 16 I like that one Bill that is one I bought a bottle of. The things I have noticed since you got me started is how different they are Single Malt us put some do not even taste like they are the same thing Vodka is Vodka some great some bad but you know it is Vodka with the Single Malts that is not the case. I am just learning all the whys but they can be dramatically different.I tasted some that were heaven and ran out and bought a bottle others I could not finish the glass. And it is not all price either.

shotwell1234 and I had a great end to a weekend. All day we were out running a ropes course for some kids. When we got home, we went to the local brewery, grabbed a couple growlers of Bad Elmer's Porter, sat in the living room of my apartment, smoked some Havana Rose Shisha in the hookah and relaxed. It was definitely the best way we could have ended the day.

Let's see...Stoli Elit on Thursday evening, Oban 14 and Anejos Fri afternoon followed up with Macallan 18, Glenmorangie Sherry cask and a Cohiba Siglio on Fri night. Sat night it was Venison and Shrimp followed up with more Macallan and an Oliva Figurado. Not a bad weekend. Of course today it's probably going to be salad and water.
