I'd love a martini, but the best ones are made by someone who is far away right now.
I will settle for a Laphroaig once the child is down for the night.

18 Year Jameson. Neat.
Unless I'm in Vegas and sitting at Fuentes in Caesars Palace....then I'll have one of Curtis' awesome Mojito's!!

I've got to have the local microbrew (Squatters) I love the Hefeweizen, they make a great Stout (Captain Bastards Oatmeal Stout), and when you can get it I love their Espresso Stout. Besides that I love Guinness, Southern Comfort, filthy martinis and I am always up for Malibu and Cola.

Thanked: 293I love scotch, beer, and vodka. I used to be a big gin drinker and I've been thinking about giving it another shot.
Some favorite beers of mine (right now) are Franziskaner, Maudite (Unibroue), Delerium Tremons, among others. I tried "Saint Somewhere" which is a Florida microbrew that does herb-infused Belgian style wheats. Worth checking out if you can get your hands on it.
Scotches: I always have Johnny Walker Black on hand (yes, I know it's a blend, but it's damn good for the price). Notable favorites when there's money in the bank are Macallan 18 and the Glenlivet.
Vodkas: Titos, Reyka, Belvedere (top three in no particular order). I enjoy each of them with a splash of club if I need to hang for a while, otherwise it's a martini (with a twist, no olives -- I feel like olives ruin the distinct flavors of the vodkas). Occasionally I'll do one Gibson.
Mixed drinks: I love rusty nails (2/3 scotch, 1/3 Drambuie), Godmothers (1/2 vodka, 1/2 amaretto), mojitos (if they're made right), and margaritas.
P.S. i forget who was talking about it earlier in the thread, but the makeshift Margaritas you are making are called "Golden Margaritas" in the business... tequila, grand marnier (instead of triple sec/cointreau), lime juice, orange juice and a bit of sour.
Now if you'll excuse me I'm going out for a drink.
Cheers,
Ogie

Bourbon, by far my favorite. Too many good ones to list. I'm going to pour myself one now as a matter of fact.
Beer, I need it more than I need water.
Vodka, tequila, rum, and occasionally Italian/Spanish red wine.

Thanked: 90I like a "Dirty Sicilian", a ****tail of my own invention. In a martini glass, a couple of calamata olives (pitted), a splash of the brine, one part dry marsalla wine and two part's vodka (from the freezer).
I started a thread on this drink a few years back. I still love it. I may haved posted on this very thread about it as well, but I was probably loaded at the time so I don't remember. I'm on my second one this evening. I think I need to switch to club soda from here on out. Oh my...
Beer is my normal drink, though. I love variety, so I don't have a favorite. I do love the Unibroue "Fin duMond" (C'est si bon), but I love so many I can't name them all. Lot's of local micros though.
