Trader Joe’s sell a frozen pre-cooked puck of oats, about the size of a tuna can, just nuke and eat.

Probably like krupstahl’s in post 35, just frozen. I will have to try freezing to see if it works. Trader Joe’s frozen are great for a quick breakfast, we keep a few in the freezer.

    Free, always taste better...

I live in Norway and we only seem to have Axa oats here. They get the job done. In answer to the question in the title of the thread: Oatmeal became a "finer thing" the moment Lyle's Golden Syrup was added.

Nice to know someone else salts their oatmeal. Always get a look of disgust (like how can you do that to oatmeal?) when I tell someone I salt my oatmeal.

Firstly I will apologize for not trawling the whole thread. I used to put my oats, water, milk, dried and or fresh fruit and nuts in the pot the night before then just heated it in the morning. However normal oats from raw only take 10 mins or so to cook they are just a bit gluggier, I might do some tonight for brekky tomorrow.

Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

Salt, butter, and a little cream and then whatever fruit I have in the fridge,
It's a great way to start your day. Tc
