    Ditch the small pieces. If the pup swallows one those there could be damage to his innards.

    Consider getting him a larger bone next time.

    Max gnaws those things to nothing. Give him a couple of months and it will be so a we have to throw it away. Once he gets the ends chewed off he starts breaking big pieces off.
