Here is an interesting point of fact: the Jack Russell Terrier (Not to be confused with the Parson Russell Terrier or the Russell Terrier) is not recognized by the AKC (American Kennel Club) because the JRTCA (Jack Russell Terrier Club of America) wanted to protect their heritage as a working dog. What invariably happens to breeds that become AKC recognized is that they lose the characteristics for which they were originally bred. Fortunately Max my Rhodesian Ridgeback has not lost his characteristics. Ever since I've had him I haven't seen the first lion in my yard.

Of course his most important job is holding the couch down. Wouldn't want that to float away or anything. What kind of watchdog would he be if that happened?

Well I've found that Travis likes to chew as I heard him and found that he'd found the cheap cane my son gave me as a gag. I'm glad it wasn't my authentic Irish Blackthorn Shillelagh.

First and Foremost--I am well aware of the various opinions of as to rawhide or bones but I picked up a tri-pack of 9" bone shaped rawhide chews. Each one lasted about 3 hours Name: no see smily.gif

Funny, that came to my door today. She spent n hour getting all the meaty gooey bits off and is now having a nice nap.
If you're wondering I'm probably being sarcastic.

I give those to Max and within a couple of months I have to throw them out because it is so small I'm afraid he will swallow it. The large Busy Bones take him less than 5 minutes to eat completely. Imagine what he would do if he bit someone. Good thing he is gregarious.

Buddy is quite psyched for his second Christmas with us. And much like most creative “kids”, he loves the used up packaging the best..
Empty boxes and cardboard cores are his favorites..

Jack's photo would make a great Christmas card. Very festive.
