I had one for 10 years or so, took it out, and I couldn't find the hole anymore after one month.

I know, I can't believe it hasn't closed totally. It did get a little more snug, but all I can think of is maybe the scar tissue formed differently. I don't mess with it too often, but it is still there and all the way through.
I understand that this is not the experience most folks have...

hah, mine had to be repierced after leaving it out overnight!
