Have had a few started on a Honda Shadow, then had a naked 76 Goldwing, Suzuki Volusia, and am currently on a Suzuki Katana, not the fastest but comfortabl, reliable, and looks good to me.
Mine is a 125 cc. Honda Shadow. In Spain i'ts the biggest bike we can drive only with a car driving license. I will be happy with a Triumph or Harley Davidson, but first I need my bike license, and now I don't have time to prepare the tests!
Better a close shave on ones face than on your bike on the road!! My preffered rides after a shave? For perofrmance my 07 V-rod. For fun and attention my restored '69 BSA T-Bolt. Now that old girl is a smile!!
Nice BSA!
Anibal, some riding is better than none!
Hi Gents,
Very nice bikes you seem to have. Few more will follow from me. I've been riding since 1977 when i was 13 years old and from all this time there's been only one or two years i've been without a bike.
Here's my current bikes. The third is still waiting for restauration and will get to my wife as soon as i get it finished.
Well done. Where is the second bike from?
The second scooter is an old Finnish brand "Tunturi" that was manufactured between 1959 and 1981. This model has a name "Pappis" (grandad) as it used to be very popular amongst oldtimers. My model is 1979, and was restored by me. Puch 50 cc engine and Ping carburetor. It is also the last model year when they made scooters that was possible to drive like a bicycle in case of the engine fail or gasoline ends (although not very comfortable).
When i was young there was a local wisdom saying that there's a similarities between driving Pappis and having intime relationship with very large-sized woman: most have done that but nobody is willing to confess that. Sorry for my inpolite folklore.
Nowadays this scooter is mostly used by my wife and kids (15 and 17 yo). I do not have a heart to drive this old scooter too much.
You're Finnish! I had the pleasure of meeting Matti Hautamaki this last January at the World ski jumping championships. I was working with Anti doping and being the bronze medalist Matti had to be tested. AND who can forget lasse Viren and Juha Mieto?? (Please ignore my bad spelling)
Your spelling is perfect. Matti Hautamäki as all ski jumpers are very popular here. However Matti still has a long way to go before getting into category of the greats (Nykänen, Ahonen).
Viren and Mieto were great athletics in their time. However they both are now state congressmen here
Hey boys, I know I'm not the only straight shaving Harley rider out there. What are you riding? I'm on my 03 Road King. I'm at work right now, I'll post pics later.:beer1:
Here you go buddy; been riding hogs for years, take care and ride safe. HOG

See no EVO, Speak no EVO, Fear no EVO. :p
Ah well no Harley here. I did get a small cruiser, but a Harley was not in the budget. I ride a Honda Shadow every day it's not raining. When it's raining, I stay home.
If I hadn't messed with HD junk for so long, I'd probably ride "rice", a Guzzi, or a Triumph ROCKET III.
Just having difficulty with wanting to learn to wrench on something new and different.
That "Wing" is OK. Gets around good and reliable as all get out. Just ain't what I'm used to. ;)
RIDE RUDE!
W
Got lotsa bikes, but this one is an old 73 CZ 250 Enduro "Made from old German tanks" brick of a motorcycle! Will not stall, will not quit! Cannot break it! Loaded with a Trick CZ swingarm, Michelin tyres, the "best" Works suspension shocks and one-off Circle F pipe,Trick front fork valving, old vintage Mikuni and Gem reed valve that money can buy! Silly! :D
Tough lookin little sled for sure.
Always thought I'd like to try a dirt bike. My problem is that every one I've sat on had my toes barely touching the ground and I've got a 32" inseam.
Buddy of mine has two Ex Swedish Army Husqvarna's with auto transmissions. I'd need some tall extensions on my feet for those beasts.
Maybe I should try a kiddy dirt bike. LOL
You could do that! Here is a 74 Honda MR 50 Hand Clutch 2 stroke! The smallest real Motocross bike! OR a 72 QA 50, the only bike Honda made with pushrods! 2 speeds, Auto! Get on down! Getya some! HA!
I'd kill or cripple myself. :rofl2:
As old as I am now, I'll probably stick to riding 100HP rigids that weigh less than 500lbs in traffic.
Throttle works better than the brakes on those rigs. ;)
I can't f%$king believe it! My brother is getting a divorce, and the psycho put water in his Harley Street Glide tank!
I ride! I mostly do two-up riding with my wife on our BMW 2007 R1200RT. I also have a Plated 1997 Honda XR600R for getting out and getting dirty!
This month I am actually on the cover of the AMA magazine because I was interviewed for their 'Cheap Thrills' article about starting in motorcycing for under $2,500. I got my BMW a couple years after I began to ride. XR was first, then a 1982 Honda V4 Magna 750 then the RT! American Motorcyclist: Attachment 94671
Here is a pic of the RT: Attachment 94672

I bought my 90 Sportster when I was stationed in Fairbanks AK. I rode that bike all over AK, CA, KS, and GA in the 10 years I owned it. Alas my daughter needed to be dropped off across town, lived in Ancorage AK at the time, so I needed to get a "cage" to drive her to school... Had to sell the bike to get a van... Sure it was my choice but I have never been happy with myself for making that choice, even though I needed to...
Oneday I will get another Harley and hit the road again :)
Thanks Wullie. He took it to Harley, his insurance paid for it, and he filed charges against the trash. He is livid! Family first and the Harley second. I've always said, get as close as you want to it and look all day long, but don't f%#king touch! You're definitely right though, it could have been worse. At least he kept his temper in check.
Now as most of the ice and snow are gone it was time to dig my old mule from the garage after long winter.
Ready for the road once again. This faithful work horse has carried me and my lady across Northern Europe many times since 2005.
Not the fastest or most sexy bike there is, rather little old fashioned. Just like me.

Old fashioned? NO WAY!!!
Nice little sled!!
THIS

is OLD fashioned. LOL
I have been riding a little over 30 years now. I started with a Beneli 60 and progressed to a Suzuki DS100, Honda XR 250, Suzuki RM50, Honda Magna V45 750, Honda Aspencade 1200, and curently I am riding a Kawasaki Vulcan 500. I bought the Vulcan for my wife but after witnessing a fatal motercycle accident unfold in front of her chose not to ride again. It was a new bike so I sold the Goldwing and ride it for now. I am ready for a bigger bike again but for now the 500 will suffice.
Lots of stories over the years. My favorite ride up to date is the back mountain roads (Hwy 89/89A) from Phoenix to Flagstaff AZ. I have riden this road many times and never get bored.
Here is my street bike, a 1965 Triumph 650 TR6SC. The first year of unit construction Trumps, it started life as a purpose-built desert racer and was acquired as a chopper basket. It is the result of a quarter-century of development. Tons of custom work and totally rebuilt! I don't ride it around much here in the city. Very dangerous and I have the scars to prove it! It is bound in a trailer to Jefferson, Texas this weekend so I can carve some country roads and show it off as I attend Diamond Don's Vintage AHMRA Nationals, an annual Must-do! ;)
WOW!! That is delicious!! Good friend of mine is into that old Brit iron with LUCAS LORD OF DARKNESS and Whitworth spoken here etc etc. He just finished the third reincarnation of Beezer. First it was a BEAUTIFUL original bike. Then it was a kick ass chopper. Now it's BETTY CROCKER the kitchen made CAFE RACER! He built in his kitchen after his wife left him.

Rattlecan paint job and pretty much hand fabbed. I figure a year before he kills himself or gets tired of it and reincarnates into a gyro-copter or some such. For him it's the journey rather than the destination. I figure it will go to New Ulm this year too.
Dig those upside down Z-bars! Sweet! I can see why she left! My Trumph went thru the "clip on, rearset" period too. Great for haulin ass, but treacherous on real handling! (scars to prove that, too!). I have been to New Ulm several times as well. What a HOOT! Gonna make it, Wullie? Slide over to Jefferson! We could 'ave that drink!
Wish I could but it ain't on the dance card. Never been to New Ulm, but my buddy Tom, the one that built that sled, has been several times. Maybe one of these days when the boy is out of school and making his own way, the wiff and I can slip off and have some fun.
Tom's wife left because he wouldn't stay out the bottle. He ain't worth shootin when he's drunk, and he was stayin some serious drunk for a lot years. His ex is a good gal. She got tired of his BS after 10 years. He dried out for a while. Haven't caught him drinkin in the last few months. I hope he stays off of it, BUT, I'm thinkin' he won't. I pray that he proves me wrong.
Yep! Responsibility is a bitch! Rewarding. Tho! If the joker flipped his handlingbars around, he would see things from a whole different perspective. I did! We really aint Cafe Racing, ya know! That is serious haulass stuff, in it's purest form! Kinda like the Jack! Gotta take care!
Tell Tom that Tom Said So!
If he goes to N.U. I'll see if you guys can get hooked up. He's a hoot. ( when he ain't trashed ) ;)
Very nice sharptonn!
Anyone here love the freedom of motorcycling?

I finally learned to ride while vacationing with family. Always been a Harley fan, and finally drove one. But I can't afford a bike right now, and I have nowhere to keep one anyway. Some day...
