Brad, I dont own one myself, but I believe Ruger quality is still there. Only way to know for sure is to go find one and check it out. What does Basil shoot, I bet he is aces with a firearm!

I've only fired .22 target rifles (never owned one), but my favorite one of those was a Marlin (no idea of what model).
Just out of guns that are out there, I currently really like the VSS Vintorez. But that's just because I am playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and the game includes a weapon that is based on the VSS Vintorez.
Smith and Wesson M&P .45.
Fine, it is not the most expensive gun out there, but it will get the job done and I love it.
Oh, in Canada we are not allowed concealed carry (I did just sign a petition to reverse this but hold out very little hope...)
That's sad :( I was just looking up the class schedule to get mine sometime in October. The hardest part for me is just getting the time to do it (I live about 100 miles from the testing center).
I'm still sporting my Hi-Point 9mm with absolutely no issues. I'm hoping that at the next gun show we have I'll be able to pick up a nice rifle to complement my small arsenal:w
I've got a Springfield .45 1911 A-1 that I absolutely love. .45s are just a joy to shoot, and they make excellent home defense weapons.
Other than that, I really enjoy my little Ruger 77/22. For long lazy days of plinking at bottles and cans, it can't be beat. Accurate as you please, and not a strain on the checking account.
Sorry, I didn't see this before my last post. Yes, Ruger is still an excellent maker of .22 rifles and pistols. Some people swear by their centerfire rifles, and some like to talk bad about them.
In any case, Ruger is still a very well-respected name in the world of .22 shooting.
umm...I don't know how to describe how cool this is, so the video will have to show ya.
Thanks for sending this to me Pop:
