Acid cigars are very nice if you are in the mood for an aromatic, as are Volcano Brand from Hawaii. For a milder smoke, I enjoy Romeo y Julieta Gran Reserva churchills.

But hands down, the best smoke I've ever had, was an Oliveros Platinum, maduro box press. Magnificent. I like the maduros, and this one delivered. Also, someone now makes a triple maduro (upmann? can't remember) that is good, if a little ass-kicking flavorwise. Ghurka Tubos (the cognac soaked ones) are another very good aromatic smoke.

    depending upon my mood:

    Padron 3000
    Oliva V
    CAO Italia
    Arturo Fuente Hemmingway

I have been more into pipes lately, given that a cigar is $5.00 (or more), and a bowl of great pipe tobacco is $0.20.

The only issue I have is that smoking a pipe is like smoking water when compared to a cigar. There is not body to the smoke.

I think it depends upon what tobacco you are smoking. A nice english blend is a lot different that an aromatic. However, to counter my own point, I agree that you don't have the same full bodied "feel" that you get with a cigar. The other unspoken reason I have been more into pipes than cigars, is the fact that my wife much prefers the smell of a pipe to that of a cigar, and I agree with her. the room note of a nice pipe is much better than that of a cigar.

My favorite lately has been the Rocky Patel line. I have really enjoyed the Vintage 90 and also the Edge. I look forward to lighting up a Decade that I have had waiting in the humi for a while.

Cuban Punch Double Corona and Cohiba Siglo VI. I have to mention also a Bolivar sold exclusively in France as part of the regional Habanos line but unfortunately it is too difficult to get a hold of.
