Thanked: 735Old fashoined
Just came back from enjoying an Old Fashoined at Rogin's Tavern bourbon bar here in Osaka.
They know what they are doing in there!

Just finished up a nice bowl of Lenny's Own in meerschaum. After seeing some pictures of very well colored meerschaum pipes, I've put the cigars away for a bit.

Last night was Smithwicks and Gent's Blend in briar. Thus far today; Captain's & Coke lowball in the afternoon, Yuengling Black & Tan in the evening, and the night is still young.

Well, it is not all that special but having a bit of Wild Turkey on the rocks. Really hitting the spot this evening.

Last night it was CB's Double Dark Cream Porter out of the cask at the bar; nothing like a few pints with a good buddy and your favorite bartenders.

This was last night (Saturday night) but my friend passed the bar and we needed to celebrate so i went out and bought two AROMA DE LA CUBA cigars. 7.20 per stick at the shop in the mall (a bit pricey compared to online) and my Padrons are all in Blacksburg in my humidor. Combined with the 18 year Glen Fiddich that i brought with me, it was a very fine evening except for the fact that the Hokies....i mean CHOKies decided to lose to Boston College again.
Aroma De La Cuba - not the same blend as the old Aromas that were a favorite of Winston Churchill but it is a full body cigar with a pretty smooth draw. Definitely a nice smoke but its not one of my favorites for the price.l
Also go to try a beer called SIMPLER TIMES. it comes from trader joes and has 6.2% alcohol. It has a mild sweet taste to it but all in all a very nice beer.

C & D Bridge Mixture in an Astley Tudor Rose big billiard, McClelland's Arcadia in an Ehrlich meerschaum quarter-bent billiard, C & D Odessa in a Savinelli Linea '76 sandblast bent bulldog #05, and now C & D Da Vinci in a Butz-Choquin eagle claw briar. And an Ancient Warrior maduro Churchill.
