Default Make Me an Offer at CI

For the cigar fans, CigarsInternational now have a "Make Me an Offer" section where you can name your own price on selected cigars/humis/merch/etc.

I'd had my eye on the Monster Maduro IV sampler Monster Maduro IV Sampler - Cigars International for a while, and it came up in the MMAO section. Normally it sells for $60. I sent in an offer for $40 last night, which was rejected. Today, I put in an offer for $45, and it was accepted. Add in $5 for shipping, and I think it comes out as a pretty sweet deal. I'm sure if anyone else tried it at $45, it would work as well.

Just wanted to give a heads up.

AHHH My order was "delivered" today but I was not at home to sign for them. And tomorrow morning I'm leaving town at 6 AM. It's already too late to pick them up. How frustrating.

Also, for anyone interested, "Joe's Daily Deal' is 20 Indian Tabac Super Fuerte Rubosto Maduros for $30 with free shipping on your entire order. A fantastic smoke, I'd bite if I didn't just pick up the sampler.

I saw that one today. I tried the make me an offer a few days ago on the Rocky Patel heritage kit. It sells for $150 for 40 cigars, heck of a deal as is. I tried a low ball $100 and was rejected. Did 120 the next day, rejected. So I gave up.

I was up there last Friday for the CI Calendar launch party. If you go the their scrap book you can see the photos. I am in a few of them with some of the models. Awesome evening. I am back in Philly next week, I usually stop by. I came home with 40 cigars that trip.

Very good if you can get them. I like the torpedoes in the V, I have a box of the O’s in robusto maduro in the humi. Nub’s are also made by Oliva, and a good smoke. I like the Cameroon torpedo. The tobacco is a little toothier than the normal Oliva. Despite the short size, they are a good 45 minuet smoke. The La Aurora 1495’s are awesome as well.

I think the Opus is a miracle of marketing. I feel there are many cigars just as good, if not better, for 1/2 the price. However, to each their own. I really like the Oliva V. I have had the Belicoso, which was fantastic, and the Torpedo, which was equally fanstastic. I'm not a fan o fthe Nub, but many people like it (as with the Opus).

I was looking to get a box of the V maduros, but my local shop only had the O's, so I went with those instead. This was a celebratory box, and I wanted them ASAP so I didn't want to order online. I really like the O maduros, but they are a bit pricey.

My "go-to" maduros are Sancho Panza Double Maduros and Indian Tabac Super Fuerte Maduros.

For Doc, and anyone who might have "missed out," the sampler is back up in the Make Me an Offer section with over 600 available and a claim that the offer will run until they are all gone.

From my calculations, it looks as if they accept a 25% off offer, not any lower than that.
