If it doesn't burn your tongue off, what's the point?

Cold foods give you that funny cold feeling in your stomach. The opposite of sipping a nice liquor. Often more flavor as well.

Beside pizza and chicken cold, I like chef boyrdee canned pastas straight from the can when they are at room temp (I used to do forestry work and quickly tired of sandwiches everyday so started eating canned pastas from the can). I'll sit at my desk and eat them now ... I refer to them as my hobo lunch. This has been extended to cold lasagne and the like.

    Cheers,

    Rick

I typically prefer my food at room temp or colder. I am down with the cold pizza for breakfast. I developed a great twist on the classic eggs benedict. It is especially good with anchovy pizza. Put a slice from last night's pie on a plate. Then instead of the typical Canadian bacon, I like to use three or four anchovies. Always use the Sicilian anchovies that are packed in jars. My favorite brand is Merro in 680 gram jars. Then of course is the poached egg. But I sometimes have leftover http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balut_(egg) which really works nicely with the anchovy flavor and of course the crunchy little duck is infinitely more fun than the slimy poached egg. Now typically one would top off his egg Benedict with hollandaise sauce but we're talkin' cold stuff here so I suggest Heinz Curry Ketchup which for some reason I have only been able to find in Belgium. Here's their website: H.J. Heinz - Belgium

My ex-brother in-law was visiting when he had his broken jaw wired shut and I made this for breakfast. But because he had to take his nourishment through a straw, I blenderized the dish for him Of curse I had to add fluid so that it was liquified. I was really mad because this guy had such poor taste he insisted using Budweiser as the additional fluid.
