Oh yea a very big 1911 fan! Give that revolver a try there's nothing better than a K frame S&W except maybe a S&W Koenig 1911:-)

Funny you should say that I actually have a box of 1,000 148 grain wadcutter's sitting right next to me full copper jacket though I dont like having exposed lead around the house.

I ran a couple boxes of Winchester 130g fmj's through it and she had very little recoil with those. I cant wait to shoot reloads through it.

There is nothing better than the feeling of a S&W Model 19 K frame in the hand. Even 1911's don't make the cut for pure smooth feeling.

The K frame and 1911 are about even honestly. I've shot both so much it's like an extension of my arm.

I thought those were 2nd models, not Triple-Locks. I've got a pretty nice one in the original .455 and the holster it goes with. Canadian , if I remember right.

I'm with you on that. I simply have a special place in my heart for the K frame. The first handgun I ever shot was a Model 19 and I've loved them ever since. I've never felt another revolver that had that "smooth as silk" feel to it. The 1911 is absolutely my favorite auto-loader, I guess it shows, I've owned five at one time or another.

It sure doesn't take much tinkering to get slick as glass trigger on a 19 that's for sure. Course the older ones had that from the factory as well as gorgeous bluing!

after burning up (wearing out) 2 S&W's, 29 and a 66, I just don't look at them anymore. I've gotten many 1911's and clones there of and always trade em off for revolvers. lol Drawn to them but never seem to be happy with them ARRGGHH!!!

Well now that I'm settled on single shots and single actions I've got all I want and I'm happy. Now for the customization

Working on building a pair of Ruger Bisley 44's, one scoped like the "Stalker" and the other like the "Preditor" Just having trouble raising the fundage at this time, go figure My Contenders and my Encore cailbers are good at this time, so I'm happy.

Yea we think razors can be expensive:-)

We've got one of these in the family. I am a semi-auto guy myself but you can't beat the nostalgia of one of the Detective Special, at least IMO. For me its like a straight razor of guns. Something right out of a detective novel. Packs a decent wallop too.
