Five darlings! I'm down to the last of Lil Mama's litter. A half Siamese that looks like, acts like and talks like a Siamese. Named Minnie Mouth. Also had her half-brother that turned out to be a 25 pounder. A Prince of a fella. He went because of constipation. No known cure for feline constipation I'm told. Struggled for over two years till I couldn't take watching him struggle with it and the pain and extreme discomfort he was in. He was a warm comfort on a cold night.

This is Lucky. He showed up at our front door exactly a week ago. Couldn't believe how friendly he was right away, which eliminated him being a barn cat which there is a plethora of around this area. He was covered head to toe in burs and also fleas. We posted pics everywhere on the net, but no one claimed him. He's ours now. Burs are gone, into the vet for all of the above, and this guy fits in better than I could have ever imagined. Even my Cane Corso seems to be ok with him, except for when my wife shows the cat too much love.

Now.... I want some opinions. Just today my Mom showed a friend a picture of Lucky, and she declared him a Maine Coon. Not really a run of the mill cat, and also an expensive breed to buy. Vet says he's around 6 months, so still small and still intact, but the appointment is booked for the chop chop.

What do you guys think? Did I really have a Maine Coon wonder into my house???

Enclosed is a photo of my Norwegian Forest Cat, which came to America with Leif Erikson, and is where the Main Coon Cats came from. Unfortunately he passed at 17 from kidney problems, and I miss my constant companion. He was about 25 pounds, as both Norwegian Forest Cats and Main Coon Cats tend to be very large, at least the males are.

    Andrew,
From all that I've seen, he sure looks like a Maine Coon to me. You'll know if he gets real big. The ones I knew were all 20+ pounds.
I love the way that he kinda looks like he's smiling. He already knows that he's found a wonderful home.

Thanks guys. The more people we talk to about him, and the more pictures and videos I look at, I'm really starting to believe that we are very lucky to have this guy. He's truly an amazing cat. Thanks Gents!

    Default Introducing 'Lionel Scrichie'

This entertainer was adopted at the start of this year from the Melbourne Lost Dogs' Home. Now two year's old, he's a bruiser of a domestic short hair, weighing in at about 6 kg. He was named for his love of dancing on the ceiling all night long (as well as his outfit). Though it sounded like he spent a lot of time as a stray before he was picked up, he's always been a loving and affectionate little terror. As he's all white and we live under a giant hole in the Ozone layer, he spends his days indoors stalking the possums and birds in the trees outside.
