Thanked: 234Any good? They're ok. they burn FAST. For a quick smoke they're fine, I guess. They're not expensive, I bought 10 yesterday, none left today so . . .
Perfect example, I had to open up the shop today, walked in the door, lit up (slightly illegally *ahem*) did what I had to do with a quick smoke - perfect.
Want to sit and reflect for an hour in the sun with a beer? Look somewhere else - like the monte cristo that's sitting on the shelf . . . waiting for it's occasion!
edit: I bought them on a whim at work yday. better than Hamlets.Last edited by gregs656; 04-26-2009 at 10:44 PM.

Excellent description! Slow lighting without scorching, waiting until the tip has burnt evenly white, then the first delicious gentle draws.
One addition: I don't cut until fully lit (white tip stage). This way certain unpleasant fumes won't get into the cigar, and all the nice aroma's that develop later stay in, to be enjoyed with the first draw. Also, wetted a bit, the closed end can soften up a bit for a cleaner cut.
In a while, after dinner, I think I'll have this one. It's a José Martà Cuba Libre Robusto, a very smooth smoke with plenty of wood and vanilla. Lots of value for €4. I believe it can even be had in the USA for about $2.
