    Default American Cars

I know there's quite a few car buffs on here, Just wonder what some of your favorite new American cars are? The state of the American industry is pretty dismal these days, but good cars continue to come out. I love the new G8, but I guess now they're discontinuing Pontiac so that's a bust.
Personally I just picked up this 05 Caddy STS, not quite "new" but at least current generation. Love it so far, very quiet and refined, adequate power, comfortable ride.

BTW, no comments about Cadillac being an "old man's car"... I'm 23!!

Hey man! When I graduated college I bought myself a 1998 El Dorado. That was an awesome car, and I hated getting rid of it, but I found solace in the fact that I was getting a red corvette

I have a relatively new Cadillac CTS, its the best car I have ever driven! I don't know why American cars have such a bad reputation...They are great!

P.S. It is certainly not an "old mans car"!!!

Actually funny timing as I just traded the wife out of her former summer car a 2001 VW Cabrio Convertible and into an super low mile 2007 Ford Mustang Coupe Pony Package on Saturday....

Her words "WoooHooo I got a Pony for Derby Day"

It is because they were pretty bad for a long time. They have been making decent cars for a couple years now, but need to convince a couple generations of people to buy them over a toyota/honda/bmw/etc...

My two favorites so far are surprisingly from Chrysler- the Dodge Caliber and Jeep Wrangler. I'm sure there are many other solid cars out there, but those are the only two newer cars I've driven.

I have had two fourth generation Camaros, and love myself an F-Body. If you want a car check out the newest Camaro. Look up the reviews on Motortrend, Automobile, Car and Driver. Every review of the thing is astounding. They make the mustang and challenger seep like worthless junk. for example V6 base car over 310 while the Mustang Gt v8 only has 315, the Camaro V8 has 426 compared to the Challengers 378. If you arnt aware yet do your readign the Camaro redefines the 21st century pony car. Motortrend found the Mustang underequiped enough that they did their side by side against the hyundai Genesis instred. In the test of challenger, camaro, mustang. All the Mags have declared the Camaro King.

Looks like i need a 5th gen now.

Vintage just like my Razors! I have a 1964 Chevy II/Nova with a SBC 383 bad on gas.... but a hybrid cant pull the front wheels off the ground. But I like all the old Vintage Muscle Cars not just Chevys .....but anything tastfull and fast. The 4th gen f-bodys with the LS motors and full head lights are one of very few new cars that I like.... they have alot to build off.
