Ya got that right. I was barely able to find three 50-round bricks when this whole ammo shortage started rearing it's ugly head. I haven't had the money to buy anymore even if I do see them. Thank gawd ball works in .45s pretty good because I ain't got money for hollow points right now. It's insane.

The thing that makes me mad is it really isn't a shortage. It's a combination of fear mongering and supply metering...

That is why I reload.
22LR is more accurate than most people give them credit for. I have had a Ruger MarkIII for many a year, Armoloy finished, target sights, bull barrel. I will take my son to the range and we sit back at 50 yards and he shoots his little Henry 22 rifle. I will break clays with that pistol at 50 yards all day. Then break the broken chunks. Got a tweaked 10-22 that will drive tacks. Best part, you can shoot all day for just a few dollars in ammo.

Thanked: 6Nice piece, man! Those Taurus 22's are nice guns, and tack drivers too. Taurus makes some really good quality firearms these days, and their quality control is outstanding. If you have any trouble with it, they will fix it. I have owned several Taurus guns in my time, and all have functioned beautifully and shot really well. Now I only have a Taurus 685 2" .357, as far as they go, but I will soon own a Taurus 1911. I have a butt load of other guns, to the point where I need to buy another safe so I can buy more guns. If that is your first gun, I'm sure you will love it. Never get rid of your .22's. You can laugh the big bore shooters off the range while you punch paper at $15 bucks for 500 rounds while they are paying nearly $20 bucks for a box of 50 in 9mm. I just bought a box of 357sig for my Glock model 31 and It was almost 30 bucks...and that was for cheapo Winchester white box! WTF?!!! Welcome to the shooting sports, man. Be safe, and bone up on your second amendment info. Help us out and join the NRA. It's worth 25 bucks a year just for the magazine!

I was just looking and man I'll bet that sucker is heavy
one good thing about a heavy gun is if it doesn't work for defense
(hopefully you will be good enough soon to ring their bell) but if shooting doesn't work you can always go to bashing their head in.
Either way you can ring that bell, but I prefer hot lead to heavy barrel.

That's a mean looking 22! I have a Glock 30, which is the 45 caliber, sub-compact "Slimline" model. And my KTM supermoto friend here is right, even cheap brands of bullets for the 45 are ridiculously expensive! A box of 50 is nearly $40--so to have a good time out plinking costs a lot! However, I love 45's and just have to deal with it I suppose...
I need to pick up a 22 like yours for cheaper rounds...

Don't get him started Max!!! I can barely keep up with my RAD, now you'll have me wanting new handles for all my handguns too!!
Alex, congratulations! Taurus make great guns, and you're right, cannot beat that warranty. with smith you are paying for the name (yes, I have a couple and love them, still, overpriced nowadays).
this ammo fiasco angers me too. fortunately (looking at bright side) I hardly ever get a chance to shoot any more so don't go through much. I do reload for the rifles.
