My first gun...!
Well after RI's 7 day waiting period I finally picked up my first gun yesterday (paid for a week ago!)! I did plenty of research and came to the conclusion that I wanted a .22 revolver. .22 for the low cost of shooting and revolver because I hear semi-autos can tend to have more problems in a .22. Regardless, it came down to a Taurus Tracker 990 and a Smith & Wesson 617. Both basically the same gun, but one is a Smith lol. I couldn't justify the extra $300 in the end though and only heard good things about the Taurus (both 990 and 970) so I went with that. Looking back, I much prefer the aesthetics of the Taurus as well. For now I only have one not-so-great photo, but I'll post more when I take them!

Gregs, move to the US and you can have the real thing
Good looking gun Alex. I hope you enjoy it (I'm sure you will). Like you said, the great thing about a 22 is that it's super cheap to plink with. I feel bad for the 45 guys right about now

Thanked: 1587I am reminded of the (paraphrased) words of Mr Miyagi: "Just remember, gun never replace eye, ear, and brain."
Nice looking gun though Alex.
