Cool looking animal! I am very very much an animal person, have had dogs, cats, birds, rodents, fish and snakes. Never had a hedgehog, though. What is the personality like?

for a while I had a pair of sugar gliders. don't have pix with me at the moment.
a sugar glider is the ill-tempered offspring of a flying squirrel and a shark

My best friend's older brother used to have lots of exotic pets (not all at the same time, though), and at one point he had a sugar glider. He said it didn't make a great pet because of it's temperament. The sugar glider met it's maker after falling into a bucket that was full of water. I guess they can't swim?

correct, they are terrible swimmers. they are supposed to bond to people but only if you spend 2+ hours per day with them. i don't have that kind of time, so I gave them to someone who did and last i heard from her they are doing extremely well and get on just fine with her.
