keep in mind that they have razor sharp (literally) teeth and an unquenchable thirst for human blood.
but yeah, they're cute. they are sleepy during the day, so they'll crawl in your shirt pocket and sleep there. if you do wind up getting some (and you should never have just one, they are social) check out GliderCENTRAL - Viewing a list of Forums UBB.threads™
they are srp for gliders, those people helped me thru a few medical emergencies, and even helped me find new homes for the gliders when i left the country on business and had to give 'em up.

Thanked: 416That's cool I am pretty nocturnal myself so we should get along well. My biggest concern is that I hear they are pretty fragile in regards to drafts and diet issues.

drafts aren't a problem, you have to have a fleece pouch for them to sleep in anyway, they snuggle up and are just fine even in colder weather.
the food is a giant pain in the ass, you can feed them stuff from the grocery store, but you have to blend it up in the blender and it smells awful. PM me if you want the BML recipe, that's their main food source + treats like yogurt, honey and live bugs. (they LOVE mealworms)

Thanked: 402Yesterday when I read about sugar gliders I thought you were joking.
Had not idea they even existed. Then I found this video!
Mentions some of the ins and outs with those cute marsupials.Last edited by 0livia; 07-02-2009 at 05:47 PM.

My aunt and uncle had a pair of raccoons, as pets...not highly recommended.
I seem to recall my cousins always having a wild-eyed look about them all the time.
