When I was working I almost always wore a western style vest, usually leather with a pocket watch and chain.
I love vests but not jackets and ties.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Thanked: 293Holi, you should implore other members to put their own "portraits" together. I bet we would get a lot of great ones.

She's one of my three Karl Eriks. I believe this was one of his later ones, since she's got such a generic shape and does not have a grading on her.
Hey everyone; post your self portrait! Giving you the same assignment I had wouldn't make any sense, so how about... you cannot be in your self portrait. Any medium is acceptable.

Looks like we would get along splendidly. You're about a full stop underexposed, so that also explains the noise as does the high ISO. I do like the composition and DOF though. Karl Erik was my first pipe and I got to meet him a couple years ago at the RTDA trade show. Very nice guy.

I have a question, and I'm not trying to be funny or sarcastic, from what I've read, and I would have never guessed it, but are pipes similar to razor's in the unique properties and styles?

Yes, I'd have to say they are. Any well made and decent quality pipe will provide a very nice smoking experience, but they are a huge number of shapes and styles, different finishes, styles of stems, visible grain patterns, etc that can be found.
In much the same way, any well made and decent quality vintage straight will be a great shaver, but the possibilities for size, point, grind, scales, tang, country of origin etc vary immensely.

Very Nice! I like it all. As with many, I seldom wear naything requireing a tie anymore,,,,, used to everyday for work, but everything has become very casual. I sometimes miss getting dressed up,,,,,,,,,,,, sometimes ;-)

+1! I can see all of those items in you.
I used to have to wear a tie when I was in management, then they started downsizing and the ties were discouraged. When I go to lodge the proper dress is a suit and tie and when master of the lodge, a tux but that was uncommon at our lodge.
Lately the only time I wear a tie is when I am in my fire dept uniform for parades and wakes. Sometimes I miss it but for some reason the necks on my shirts have shrunk and they are a pita to button all the way up!“If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.” (A. Einstein)
