    Default Left overs!!!

Me and gugi were having an interesting chat. He does not like left overs. I think he is a Bulgarian fool Now I agree with him when it comes to fries or a fast food meal but is there anything more heavenly than fried chicken left overs or a fine stew or soup re heated and served for the second and third time? I don't think so!! In fact, I challenge you guys to come up with food items that you find better on the second or third reheatings!

I have already mentioned a couple of my favorites. How about you?

you know, there's an important part of my diet called ice-cream, to which the opposite process of refreezingsis applicable. I can guarantee it ain't better, so I must finish the pint upon it's opening.

Red wine - always better the second day (I use the vacu-vin thingies). Of course another way is decanting, but who has the time to wait an hour. Plus my klutz friend broke my decanter some time ago

    Hi,

A lot of people here in the UK would vote for left-over curry for breakfast

    Best regards

I have to agree that the only way to eat ice cream is a whole pint at a time. I actually had a pint of B&J's Half-Baked this evening (before dinner...).

When it comes to leftovers, I have to say that I am usually a fan. A few great examples - chili, a good pasta sauce, pancakes (if you freeze them while they are still fresh, they are great cold or toasted) and pizza (I prefer cold, but toasted works too). I'm sure there are more, but that's what I've got for now.

I think pretty much any "sauce" food--curry, stew, chili, pasta sauce--will be better the next day, or even after that. Gives the flavor time to spread, I reckon. And count me in for a fried chicken and cold pizza man.

Other foods? Hmmm...left over meatloaf in a sammich with tobasco and a slice of cheddar is pretty darned fantastic.
