Wallet Vs. Money clip, Witch is better?
Hi there,
I need a new wallet, but before I go out and buy one I was wondering what the consensus was on who is carrying what. I have always carried a wall because I carry so much but I would like to slim it down. Let me know what you use and who makes it.
Thanks.

Thanked: 132Hey Titanium.
Ive got a wallet that has a money clip attached to it. Bought it at Fred Meyers, i think. Nice to have the best of both worlds.
Good luck,
Mac

If you have issues with thick wallets and your hips (most men do, we just don't realize it), you might try a smaller design. I picked up a Fossil bifold, I believe from Macy's, that is small enough that it doesn't hurt, yet still has a place for my ID, a few credit/misc cards, and bills. You can fit it in your front pocket too if that's your favorite way to carry.
Here's a similar version: FOSSIL - watches, handbags, accessories, and apparel - www.fossil.com
So far it's been one of the better department store wallets I've owned. My only complaint is that it's tough to get cards out of the middle card pocket.

I use a cigarette case and only carry cards usually. If I carry cash, it just gets folded and goes in with the cigarette case which is usually in my front left hand pocket.

I carry a money clip style in my front pocket. Money clip for cash or receipts, a small pocket for a couple of cards and an ID slot for my drivers license.
It's slim and I can't over stuff it like a bi or tri-fold.

Thanked: 293I carry a money clip and a card holder. It's better on the back. Clip in the left back, card holder in the right back. You'll get scoliosis lugging around that George Castanza thing.

I recently tried to convert over to the money clip- It was really more of the hybrid type previously mentioned. a Fossil.
My problem with it was that I felt entirely naked whenever I went to pay for anything. Your entire wad of cash is on display. I didn't realize how accustomed I had been to opening up a wallet and sifting through it while still hiding my money from prying eyes.
It lasted about 3 months- long enough for me to decide I had given it it's chance. Back to the wallet.
I think I still have that hybrid- in good condition. If you're interested in it, PM me and you can have it for the cost of shipping...assuming I can find it.

I carry a wallet, but I try to keep what I put in there to a minimum. I'm assuming you guys who are talking about your back and hips are saying that because you carry your wallet/clip in your back pocket and end up sitting on it? I carry mine in my front pocket; the wallet is pretty thin and it sits in front of or behind my phone (Razor - also thin). When I'm in my house, wallet gets dumped with the keys. When I'm at work, wallet gets locked in the desk.
EDIT: Reading through this thread reminds me of the good old college days, where all I needed to carry was my room key, ID, and phone (had the same phone, and since it's a flip phone, I used to put my ID inside it).Last edited by holli4pirating; 07-21-2009 at 09:48 PM.
