Thanked: 121Nightcap replacement
Count me in as well.
I've been smoking mostly MacBaren's stuff since '66. Started with Plumcake, then switched to Scottish Mixture. But my last bowl of the day was almost always Nightcap.
Devastated when it got discontinued. Anyway, I've found a good, widely available substitute -- Sherlock's Choice from Tinder Box.
I'm happy with this, but I'd be interested in hearing of any other alternatives.

I've been sending invitations to everyone. I hope this suits you.
The reason I decided to create this group with invitation only is simple. I don't want to control anything or what ever. I just wanted to know how many of us pipe smokers there are in here.
The room is open. Please join in on the discussions and create more topics. Let's make "the smoking room" the most active side-room in here. That and the most aromatic...

I'll join in here too. I have the occasional pipe in between my cigars. Had a bowl of Stokkebye Evening Treasure in my Peterson bulldog last night. Very nice!

Thanked: 51Count me in as well. I enjoy everything tobacco related. I have currently around 10 pipes in my rack. I used to have around 15 different types of tobacco and found that I really enjoy the local brand of Caot. Black.
BTW, the idea of the corn cob pipe is spot on. CC pipes are nice and smooth with very little tongue bite. Make sure when you go to break in your pipe you only fill it 1/2 way or less and make sure you smoke it all the way to the bottom so as to build up a nice coating of carbon. Then add more tobacco till you end up with a full bowl full. Also you might want to get several of the CC's and rotate your pipes to allow the pipe to dry out from the moisture. Pipe cleaners are a must too.
