I had a Rossi 16 Ga over/under that I used to skeet shoot and Pheasant hunt with. Excellent gun. I actually wish I still had it. Rossi, as you know is part of Taurus, and I have had EXCELLENT history with my Taurus and Rossi firearms.
And, sir, you are correct. I WALKED OUT WITH A ROSSI! See following post with pic."I get some lather and lather-up, then I get my razor and shave! Zip Zop, see that? My face Is ripped to shreads!"

Got the Rossi Lever Action 357 today. I'm delighted.
I tried the Henry. Wow. It weighed at least twice as much as the Rossi. Well made, but octaganal barrel, all brass breach and magazine load that I do not like, with a very hefty price tag.
A stainless lever rifle was not even on my radar, but the price was right, and I kept remembering my beloved Taurus 9mm stainless. Basically maintenance free, other than a quick clean and lube. I wish I still had that Taurus as well.
So I finally have my Lever 357. I have wanted one for over 10 years. Well over. The gun store was CRAZY busy. 90 minute wait until my number at the gun counter was called. I took advantage of the wait time and stocked up on ammunition. 357, 38 special, 40 S&W, 12 Gauge large bird shot, and even a few boxes of 22 ammunition just becuuse;

Sweet! Nice carbine!
I was considering one of those and then I inherited a model 94 from '71.
Don't know it's story. Looks like it was in a fire or a flood or both or perhaps left outside for a spell. All in the white. has a new stock.
Well-worn with a decent bore. Decided it would fill my lever-action needs.
The Henry Long Ranger has a box magazine Comes in a ridiculous array of calibers the tube setup restricts.
Like I said. Spensive!

I'm so envious of you guys in the US, being able to own so many varieties of guns, in the UK we do own 223s and 224s for larger game deer and wild Boar, there's a healthy head of Wild Boar not too far from me in the Forest of Dean, I know a few local guys who pay them regular visits, I have owned shotguns and firearms since I was 16, I used to hunt a lot once upon a time, mostly Fox Rabbits and the occasional Hare, kept and bred Working Terriers and Lurchers, the only firearm I own now is my very accurate Browning T-Bolt Varmint, in Stainless steel coupled with a whisper-quiet Wildcat moderator which makes all the difference when hunting small game, the scope I use is a Hawke Vantage IR 4-12x50 Rimfire 22 LR Subsonic Rifle Scope, here's what groups it will give you at 100 yds.

I like the look of that Rossi. That might be another option I'd consider.
Here's my only lever action.
Model 92 Winchester (along with a Winchester razor) in 25-20 which I love except that the rounds are two bucks and change each. But that's not even the worst part. The worst part is finding them. Everywhere I check is always out and if they do have them at all it's one box of 20.
I know I should reload them but I have neither the time nor the space for that. Plus if I bring one more hobby full of paraphernalia home my wife will likely.use that lever action on me.Iron by iron is sharpened, And a man sharpens the face of his friend. PR 27:17

Thanked: 3226I have to say that I had an original Belgian made Browning T Bolt with the lighter sporter weight barrel back in the day. However, I don't recall it grouping quite that well at 100 yards. Lovely grouping on those targets Jamie. Very interesting straight pull action on those T Bolts too.
The other Browning 22 that I loved to plink with was their take down semi auto. Well built dainty little 22 that you loaded the tube magazine through the butt stock.

So I suppose your moderator is what we would call a silencer, Jamie?
