I used to have tons of guns but now have limited myself to some Elk rifles a few AR's A Benelli M1 super 90, Win M12, S&W <&P 45 totally tricked out and Ed Brown Korba carry. I used to carry a Jim Hoag Police Special but that got to be worth too much money to haul around.

I added a BUNCH of aftermarket stuff to this one, the first one I had I left stock. I have it tuned up for .45ACP and it is smooth! I installed roller bearings under the shell plate, shell plate advance and shell feeder, changed out the spent primer to a bottle, changed the unspent primer catcher to a small bottle, added a large adjustment knob to tghe powder measuer, powder early warning system and powder quantity alert. I have it set for 6gns of WW231 and in doesn't vary more than a tench or two.

Thanked: 227Woop.
Got an email tonight. A localish practical shotgun ground has a membership space opened up.
So hopefully get out for a visit on Sunday

Thanked: 227Turns out practical shotgun is damned good fun. Despite my shotgun being limited to 3 shots, meaning a lotta loading, I had a blast. And I don't think I did too badly.

Thanked: 227Normally I wait until all the smalls are in bed before cleaning my guns. But in an effort to try to spend some time with the wife I did it early today.
Turns out my daughter thinks dismantling cleaning and reassembling a shotgun is a world of fun.
Looks like I have an assistant.

Thanked: 227It's been quiet here.
I am prepping in the hope I'll get a wildfowling permit this season.
To that end I figured I had better sort out a bag, so I took an old MOLLE covered rucksack I have, the good wife sewed up a couple of bursts in the seams.
I got packing, added some pouches, so far, cleaning gear, essential tools, ground sheet, waterproofs, need another couple of pouches for cartridges and other requirements first aid kit etc. But all coming together.
Thankfully it'll be multi purpose, all things I need doing practical shotgun as well

Went to an indoor range locally for a "stag" day. 14 of us. Shot a 9mm Glock, S&W .45, AR-15, and a .308 bolt action. Forgot how much fun shooting can be. My buddy and I were class of the field (such as it was) with the handguns but barely hit the target when it came time for the "shoot-off". LOL
