Thanked: 110Hey gents...Thanks for the input.Always appreciate.. So with Michigan having the stay at home proclamation every fun shop was closed besides one.. And fortunetly its one if our shops with the most and best selection.. They said on the phone that they did have some Taurus snubbies andbof course Rugers and S &.W.. He said they are only allowing 1 person in and no loitering or window shopping allowed.. When I got there I had to wait about 1/2hr until I could go.. So the Taurus guns were the 38 off duty and 38 on duty plus the s&w airweights, ruger 101.357..I carried a s&w airweight 38 special as my primary for quote awhile and this is not a bad thing but the Taurus guns felt the same. I head down the display case towards the ruger 101 and bam my eye caught a sig 365 9mm micro.. Ohhh uh huh I got to feel you up my brain said.So out it came into my mitts and gave her a nice little massage.. And wouldnt you know it right next to the 2 365's sat all alone a Kimber micro 9mm..🤔 I have some experience with these as I have 2 close hombres that each have different variations of this model and I really enjoyed the way these little guys felt, shot, and for factory trigger it was quite nice. And to top it off it was on sale..I asked the counter guy a few questions about each but he didnt seem overly interested.. After I thought about the guns I had looked at reality was i.first and foremost wanted a more comfortable carry while on the road.. So Kimber was taken home with me.. Couple of pics.

I have that same pistol. You’ll love it once it’s broken in. Rack the slide a lot and then shoot it a bunch with ball ammo. They’re tight as heck when new.

Thanked: 110Hi Harold... Noticed right away the slide is stiff and needs some breaking in...Been on me since I got it for leather molding of holster.. Also noticed right away it's the most comfortable and concealable then any carry I've had previous.. But as most know the smaller, lighter a self defense gun gets the more accuracy and distance you lose.. If they weren't so big and bulky on my frame I would carry a 4inch Glock 17 or 19. This is my 3rd 9mm I have so have a butt load of wad cutters to use.
You using 115gr or 124gr? .What self defense rounds do you use?
Thanks Harold.

Thanked: 1936Looks very comparable to my sig 938. I carry Liberty Defense in my 9mm and .45acp. Some guns just feel right, sounds like this was your feel right pistol. The more time you spend with her, I am sure the more you will like her.

Thanked: 110Always found that handguns are quite particular about their self defense rounds but almost all cheaper range rounds will shoot very close to each other.. My Sig 320 sub really warms up to Special Gold's and my kahr9 and when I carried a j-frame 38 they liked the Hornady Critical Defense.. When I was carrying a Glock 43 it also had a favorite round but for the life of me i cant remember
Also think you are right with the p938 now that you mentioned that.. The p938 was what my father carried so shot it many time... He passed away in a vehicle accident 12yrs ago ( damn I miss that mudder-fudder) so memory is a littled faded on his pistol.. Michigan DNR has the real nice shooting range down the road closed due to stay home declaration.. Tomorrow is supposed to be pretty nice so ill grab a few guns, ammo, targets into a pack and take a nice couple mile walk behind the house and do some target practice there...
Be safe and stay healthy all.

The Sig 938 and the Kimber Micro 9 are almost identical. They fit the same holsters and some parts are even interchangeable (as I understand it). I have the full size stainless Kimber in 45 which I bought in 1999, and the Micro 9 pictured with it. (Although pictured with it, the Critical Defense ammo does not feed reliably in my Micro 9). I also now have a Stainless Kimber Ultra TLE II in .45 which is my winter carry pistol. It is amazing.

Thanked: 110Hi Harold.. Yesterday when I said that my dad had a p938 and had shot many rounds out of it.. Well I was wrong, brother stopped by this morning to BS for a bit.. Showed him my new gun and asked he remembered if dads sig was a p938 which would be identical to my Kimber.. Brother said no for 1 he was sure pops gun was a little bigger and he was pretty sure it started with p2.. Thinks it was a p228.. So for all that texting I'm saying that I did not know the p938 and Kimber 9 are about twins.. After doing a little read up on the 2 guns I saw that they are just alike.. .Good to hear you say that the critical defense rounds didnt cycle well because my other 9's like them and I have quite a few rounds of those.. Probably grab a box of mactech guardian 115 p+ today so I'll have 3 brands to test.. Thank you for the info and enjoy the rest of your weekend..
