I too have relatives in MA and work in MA. Fortunately, I was able to get away. MA is a great place for education, medical care, and to work, but the bad aspects of Puritanism still rears its ugly head from time to time. William Barker from my home town plead guilty to a capitol offence and promised to never do it again, but others stubbornly claimed innocence and refused to admit their guilt. Barker was imprisoned and the stubborn ones executed. Barker later died at home of old age. The charge was witchcraft. MA also drove the Quakers from my neighborhood to Nantucket where the Quakers founded the whaling industry and became leaders of the abolitionist movement. There were upright Puritans. John Eliott printed the 1st book in New England, the bible in Wampanoag for the "praying Indians" of Natick. The Puritans of Boston later incarcerated the Natick Wampanoags on Deer Island in Boston Harbor where most of them perished from exposure and starvation.

Thanked: 4So—out from under the ashes of Puritan oppression, Roger Williams influenced both Jefferson and Madison, setting the framework from which the 1st Amendments' separation of church and state came to be.
Progression is not all for naught—especially the slow—for the greater good for all mankind—even keeled progression.I broke every clay today——even the ones I missed . . .

Just a heads up,,, since you are new to the forum,,, when it comes to the gun threads,,, we only "Show & Tell", discuss methods of concealed carry, types of holsters etc.
Any discussion of 1st Amendment, 2nd Amendments issues are prohibited in gun threads,,, we only have a few gun threads here & want to keep them.
Not my rules,,, just the way it is.
Thank you,,,,,,,,,,

Just curious. I have carried out side the pants and shoulder rigs. I've never carried inside the pants. What would be a comfortable leather holster for a Sig P229 or the 225 or the new 320 sig. i believe they all use the same outside the pants and shoulder rig. Since the price of leather now days has gone kind of high i wouldn't want to buy to try and put in the storage bin. What do others who have used the inside models think.

I've tried a number of IWB holsters. At first I liked the kind that clip on over the belt, and they are convenient, but the clip will gradually chew up your shirt tail when you sit in a car seat. It will be perforated with little holes.
The best made, most comfortable IWB I've found, and the one I swear by now, is the Milt Sparks Versa Max 2. I've also got their Summer Special, which looks like it would be even better for its simplicity, but the VM2 is the one that cannot be beat. It ain't cheap, but it will last a lifetime, and is the most comfortable and efficient of all I've tried.
Get the horse hide. Tougher, slicker for an easier draw, and moisture resistant.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Wow,,, hard to say, as I truly believe there is no comfortable in the pants holster, as I have carried that way all my adult life.
But,,,,,,,,
sometimes we need to or want to carry in the pants. I would say that you first obtain a solid well built "belt" , as this is key in stability. A cheap belt can make carrying a weapon a pain. A form fitting(to the particular handgun) holster helps. The method of how the holster attaches matters too,,, clips,,, snaps/straps or simple slats in the holster material, all have their advantages or disadvantages.
How much weapon retention plays a part in the choice also.
If at all possible, visit a gun shop that has choices & test a few holsters out.
