Proud Parent Moment
Greetings all
Well my little one will be 5 months old next week, she is currently weaning and teething and is turning into quite a chatterbox too.
Ladies and Gents we've had our first attempts at trying to say "mom", got me all choked up, hehehe. I was with some friends having coffee on Monday and when I had to nip to the toilet my little Nimbus started looking around saying "maaaauuuumm", awwwww.
She is such a little diamond, we have a chat in a morning after breakfast and again in the afternoons, she's getting quite enthusiastic about the whole thing and will giggle and smile away.
Sandy you really, really are going to love being a Dad. I'm so looking forward to the post/text/phone call to let me know the little Kidney has arrived.
Her favourite toy at the moment is the rattle which Brad (Icedog) made for her and she takes great glee in trying to bash me with it!!Brad it's a pity about facebook, I have my shaving page up and have linked your website as well as posting the photo of Teddy and Basil (the brush of course
).

It's so much fun, isn't it? They learn new stuff so often, they can just keep amazing us. Ours is a touch older (16 months) and now is just a running screaming fool! I'm not sure how she does it, but the worst days just brighten up as soon as I see her.

Ours now are 33 months old, but told me for the first time a few weeks ago: "Daddy, I love you!".
That was a unique moment, I really felt moved!

Kids are the best and worst things.
I love mine and gods they drive me nuts some times and other times you just can't stop hugging them.
Mine are 4-1/2 (the half is important) and 18 months. They are quite a crew of two boys. If one is in trouble the other is either watching, helping, or instigating.
Oh I have a fun 18 years in front of me. The best part about kids is watching them experience life the way it was meant to be experienced. With wonder and awe. I hope that they can keep that and not end up jaded like me.

Don't blink or turn your head my baby just started kindergarten. It seems like yesterday I carried her home (I type with a tear in my eye).

Kids are the best. Nothing like a million watt smile to brighten your day
Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.
To spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the Last Day

As soon as they turn 36 months old they learn "Daddy I HATE you" - usually associated with denying them something.
One of my more amusing moments was the first time my oldest daughter came up to me and introspectively noted that sometimes she says she hates me, but she doesn't really mean it, she just feels that way for a moment but she really loves me.
