Ordered a New MINI!
I put in an order for a 2010 Mini Cooper Clubman S last Thursday.
I have to wait almost 2 months for it to actually be built now! The wait is going to kill me!
Its gonna look a little like this:
I'm gonna wrap the A-panels (between front wheel & doors) in black vinyl. Also, the dark silver color I ordered is SOO much nicer in person than this picture from the mini site. Its much darker IMO.
Other than that little modification, its just a stock S with black features. Ordered it with All weather tires.... I plan to buy a 2nd set of wheels & tires next spring..and do the 'ole Michigan-road-salt switcheroo every fall & spring between the two sets.
I can't wait!

Thanked: 132That looks like a fun little car. I see those and have always wondered how they drive.
Thanks,

Thanked: 1903Now that is a really nice car. The engine is a bit of a bore, but outside Germany that doesn't really matter (we got no speed limit on the Autobahn...). I've driven a few of them, including the Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works. Fantastic cars, and suprisingly much space in them.
Congratulations!
Robin

The Mini haters should come down to an autocross and see what kind of cars get their butts kicked by a decent driver in a stock (or nearly stock) Mini.
That being said, they just don't do it for me.
Enjoy, and keep it shiny side up!

I test drove a Mini Cooper and Mini Cooper S a couple of years ago and came close to buying the Cooper. The Cooper S had a bit more speed, but I liked the ride of the regular Cooper better. I wish I had gone ahead and placed the order now, as Minis hold their value like few other cars at the moment.

Thanked: 234Well, that was rude!
Minis are quality cars. Big fan of them here. My family has had a couple, my mum has a convertible at the moment.
The S is a bloody fantastic car to drive. Enjoy it
Danny: last I heard they were the second best for depreciation, after the SLK200. We change a A-Class for a mini like a week ago, the same year mini was worth around twice as much as our A-Class (which was a good spec). They hold their value VERY well.Last edited by gregs656; 09-01-2009 at 10:23 AM.

Thanked: 586Good luck with your new car. I have a 2003 JCW S. It has been great from the day I picked it up.
