I restored this old thing in the early 90's.

It needs only lubrication, fighting the cheap gas we have.
Points....Those suckers need a change every 4 years or so.
Riveted the woven brake linings to the shoes myself back then.

Hardest part about owning a Model A is getting time to run it through a heat cycle and keeping it clean.
Easy-peasy! Best fun car ever. Original fuel pump!
    Original brake fluid!
    From 1931!

Everyone loves the old tickty-tick when you draw down on the spark.
The wolf-whistle is also quite a hit!

Well I own the 2005 , the model A belongs to one of the guys I work with. My uncle kept a model T, at my fathers for years. His son has it now. My father restored a bunch of early 50s, Oldsmobile's. Would take them to some big car show, in Green bay, Wisconsin. Won lots of trophies, and was noted as the most authoritive person, on Oldsmobile's.

He then went on to restoring a Studebaker, then jags and MG's. And oodles of other, privately owned oldies.
He did it all...engine work, body, interior, paint, upholstery. Oh those years of lacquer..

Look at the bright side! Each of our cars make 40 horsepower!
Mine does have a 75 pound flywheel, though!

You coulda made him so pretty though. I just patched a bunch of rust holes along the roof gutter with expanda foam and filler. I almost got it smooth too. makes him look double hard with his bush mechanic patch job.
