    Dear Angeleyes,

    You know that saying "the sublime to the ridiculous", well in these forums we can literally share going from the sublime to the sublime!
    Badger hair makes great shaving brushes because, amongst other things, it has an inherent ability to soak up water, much like human hair, then redistributing it in the lather.
    (I have already managed to make a clown of myself by progressing this musing in the Brushes Forum!)
    Beaver hair/fur is the antithesis of Badger in that it is virtually impervious to water. That said, with the first speck of rain, I have been to either put the fedora in a bag or run into a shop!

    They are selling exclusivity and desireability as much as they are selling hats.
    I suspect the ones the celebs wear and the film props are provided free for the kudos.
    I couldn't find any prices on the website. They probably appeal to buyers that like the expression "If you need to ask the price, you can't afford it"
